i think the word "prat" survives the transition to american slanguage nicely.

it sounds flat, open, disdainful and outright rude. but i really hate when americans say "arse" because it just sounds stupid. unless you're southern. then it sounds funny, slightly classy. but they'd have to give up saying "ayuss," which i consider to be a complete tragedy.
