So, I was examining my breasts as part of my monthly routine....and noticed a 'film' on my nipple. I wiped it off and pushed around my nipple a bit and liquid came out. I did the same to the other one, and a clear liquid with a bit of white-ness came out (Looked kinda like skim milk only a little more clear). Nothing too much....I'm not going to be soaking the fronts of any shirts just yet. I pushed around each nipple once more but nothing come out, so I don't know....But, is this lactation or should I be worried?

Congrats! It is totally normal. I remember, during my first preg, when this happened. I was like, "OMG, they WORK!!!!: It was a joyful time. Don't try to express it, just leave it alone. If you have a lot of discharge, just wear a nice, cotton nursing pad.

    :)

Are you pregnant? I couldn't go without a bra anymore from the time I was like 24 weeks pg, or I would leak right thru my shirt!! I had tons of milk when my son was born, it is a wonderful feeling knowing that you are making milk for your baby. It is even more wonderful to see the baby get chubby and big just from drinking your milk!!! Congratulations!!

    I'm excited! :D
Why can't I express it? Will it hurt them? I was so amazed at first that I tried to get a little to come out to show my mom so she could see what was going on and tell me if it was normal....did I hurt them? :(

The more you stimulate your breasts, the more milk they'll make. I think you're ok as long as you don't hook yourself up to a pump :)
