I switched to firefox and it is teh suck

Tools --> Options --> Web Features --> You may have certain types of pictures disabled.

That's because you're teh sux0r. Do you have 'from the original source only' checked or something? I know if you don't have java/flash/whatever plugins installed, those will show up blank, are you sure it's pictures missing, and not some other crap? Hell, I don't know.

Opera pwns Firefox. Opera is 1337.

And it shows pages more IE like and not Netscape like.

 

Now that I use another browser, is there a way to get IE off?

Don't. It can really mess up your computer, and plus sometimes you need IE for things.
