i swear i here heavy metal music..

I can hear heavy metal coming through my walls..theyre building a mall next to my house!

 

i can still hear ministry ringing in my ears from last nights show
unfortunately i cant hear much else

 

anything vibrating can amplify low level accoustical signals. someone playing loud music too far away for you to hear could easily be picked up by, for example a couple of glass jars in your refrigerator vibrating against each other. when the fan in your refrigerator stops, the amplified acoustic you're hearing in it stops, or gets MUCH fainter too. that's how you can tell if that's what it is. same goes for a worn or otherwise less then perfect bearing in your computer power supply's cooling fan.
