I suck at the knit/purl combo. Totally, completely, 100 per cent pure suckage. Never have I managed to complete a ribbed cuff... never. I lose count, I mess up somehow... and then it's just this mish-mash of ugly yarny bumps, that would be ribbing in a different dimention or if someone who can count had made it.

I want to make myself some sleeves... arm warmers, I guess they are being called now. I got this really cool verigated yarn, that dates back to when Dinosaurs still roamed Ohio, from the local thrift store for 25 cents.... it's called "autumn harvest"... green and yellow and orange verigated. LOVE IT.... but suck at the ribbing. I've managed to unravel the ribbing 3 times tonight... still have yet to make it to round 4 without erring. GRRRRR!

Anything you suck at? Come on... make me feel better about my suckiness?

you don't suck! *kicks regan in the butt for suggesting such a thing* lol. it just takes a ton of practice. you should have seen some of the horrid looking pieces i cranked out when i first got "aquainted" with pearling...wow! they were pretty bad. cheer up darling! i know you'll get it. :D

are for what i suck at......reading patterns! ijust can't get the gyst of it. it's like a whole other language! that's why i usually create my own. someday, SOMEDAY *waving fist in the air* i will be able to follow knitting patterns! :D

You know, patterns have always bugged me too. They have too many numbers and abbr. in them for the basic knitter/crochetter to comprehend. You basically need a degree in astrophysics to understand what they are saying. And it's particularily stupid to have patterns written as they are, considering most yarn-ers are left brained people (no speaky the numbers).

I don't usually follow patterns either... and if I am going to follow one, i write it out again, in a Regan-friendly format... no abbreviations, and as few numbers as possiable. haha.

I finally got the ribbing... it's not perfect, but it's as good as my ribbing will ever get. haha.

I bet she goes to a fancy office, tells everyone she is astrophysicisting, but really she goes into a secret hide out behind her office, and writes knitting patterns. Go to her office, and look for the book on the shelf that will open the sliding trap door thing...
