I suck at rolling joints

I must have done it hundreds of times, maybe thousands, but I still suck at it. Sometimes it ends up looking like an expertly rolled joint, but most of the time it's a total mess.

I find it's the frequency that you are rolling them at.

2 or more a day, and they'll prolly be perfect. 1 or less a week and it might be a little hit or miss.

My personal secret is forehead grease. If my fingers are too clean they don't stick to the paper properly. A little thumbslide across the forehead works wonders

haha you guys are a handful. yeah man, i can't roll either, but i enjoy the thought of knowing that one day, I'm gonna roll it perfectly and i'll enjoy it that much more ^_^

To "at least he can assemble a smokable joint that stays lit and doesn't spill anywhere."

Two things have really helped me:

If a one-paper roll-job looks a little loose or messy, just roll that entire joint burrito-tight inside a 2nd paper. A bit high on the paper:green ratio, but usually ends up smoking even and drawing right.

Other thing is to lick my first three fingers on m right hand and give the j another outside "twist." The little bit of saliva makes the loose paper fold and stick together.

...Maybe everybody already knew those ones haha

 

I like the "forehead grease" idea. You can also get some "grease" from the outside of your nose, just next to where the nostrils are. My dad used to use nose grease to lubricate the ferrules of his fly rod.

I've also found that having a girlfriend with skillz helps at getting your rod unstuck, or stuck, whichever you may prefer.

I often go to my wife to get my joint rolled just right.

 

I used to be awful at rolling joints, but years of practice have honed my ability to perfection.

 

When I'm rolling for myself I use a rolling device

 

use RYO tabacco, it's easier to roll

 

I suck, I can't roll a halfway decent joint until I've made about a dozen attempts...and by then I just give up and use a pipe.

But, I'm a girl, so I don't generally have to roll my own joints. :2thumbsup: Gotta love a gentleman!

 

I have rolled 3 decent joints in all my years of smoking. Matt has tried to show me. but it wasn't happening

 

I can roll anything... Been rolling cigs for 20 years and joints longer than that. Not joints recently because all I have is tobacco, but rolling something to smoke is not a problem for me.

First time I rolled anything was in 7th grade... Somebody dared me to roll up some shavings out of the pencil sharpener at school. All I had was note book paper but that thing looked perfect. Of course none of us smoked it...

 

I always put the paper (usually Jokers) in a dollar bill and rolled them that way. Perfect joint every time.

 

That's cheating...

After seeing an old hippie roll a joint with one hand while driving a 56 Ford panel truck, shifting gears at the same time... I gotta say any form of rolling machine/dollar bill/etc. is cheating...

 

I roll my own cigaerettes and so am pretty good - tho not had the opportunity to roll a joint for some two years or so
