Hehe, i'm proud of myself; for the first time in over 5 years, i did some form of exercise. That would be a really big deal, if you had any idea how unmotivated i am, lol. I drove down the road to this public use area/campground on the lake; it's pretty nice (wooded all the way around, and a really pretty area of the lake) but in desperate need of a clean-up (obvious party site). It was cool and rainy (my favorite weather) and i could have stayed there all day, had it not been for the creepy guy in the beat up pick-up who just parked in the middle and sat there suspiciously, haha, so I did my thing and moved on. i probably only ran (okay, jogged and walked, haha) about a mile, but it was hilly, and took me about 40 minutes. I hope that's a good start But anyway, i'm going to try to make this a daily thing; wish me luck!
good luck! congrats on already going out and getting started on it! hopefully it's something you can stick with. if you start to get tired of running and want to skip exercising for a couple days, you could always switch things up by biking or going to the playground (swings and monkey bars are probably really good exercise, too). i don't exercise much and find it hard to stick with just one form of exercise... i guess i get bored with it or the laziness takes over. your info says you're in the ozarks.. if you get tired of running, you can still stick with your exercise plans and kayak or climb or hike, too. that would be mad fun. anyway, good job on starting already, and good luck! hopefully there will be fewer creepy observers next time.
good for you!! i really need to start doing that. i used to run everday... but then i got lazy and now im a big chub. heheh
I jogged a mile for the first time in several weeks... i think it was around 10 minutes... slow but i definitely got my heart rate up. i like to go a couple of miles on the elliptical trainer, it isn't so hard on my joints. i have a ski knee
yay congrats!! let me know if you ever need some motivation, i already have one long distance work out buddy
Good for you, Michelle. I wish I had your drive. I'm just sitting here and should be doing something like that. YAY for Michelle!
Thanks for the support ladies i feel really great about myself right now, and it's been a long time! *hugs*
