    Uh... alright.

I've never really cared for Led Zeppelin... for some reason their occultness and shadiness has always felt like some sort of gimmick. Most of the times I just shrug them off or change the station when they come on. Plus they've gotten away with too much theft.

I heard someone say "I never trust anyone who doenst like Led Zepplin"..it was a famous musician. ....I'm just joking with you, Orsino. I have a many good friend who dont like them. One of my friends hates them because he thinks Robert Plant sings about his dick all the time. Ah, to each their own....I think they rock

I just don't care for alot of the band's negative vibes... It's just that the band has always seemed so shady, to me. I think guys like Frank Zappa should rather be put on a pedestal for making fun for bands like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.

Because, to be quite honest, I really can't take goofy shit like that when it comes to music... and this "yeah man... I bit the head off a zebra and I worship lasagna, etc.... bow down to me... word..." stance really gets to me.

I mean, just listen to Kashmir. It's some creepy shit... and I've never trusted people who bankrupt blues and jazz musicians who have no healthcare. Hubert Sumlin was around wayyyyyy before Robert Plant was and he will always be the better man.

I can see how someone would think RP would be singing about his dick all the time.

Now, never trust a musician who doesn't have a place in their heart for BB King (His nephew is also a hell of a guy), because he's the only man in this world who has ever been able to make me cry tears of joy, though Neil Young has come pretty close with Falling From Above... Fortunately, Jimmy Page seemed to give up at outjamming Neil at Neil's own hall of fame induction.

    Grandpa said to cousin Jed
    Sitting on the porch,
    "I won't retire
    But I might retread."
Seem like that guy singin' this song
Been doing it for a long time
    Is there anything he knows
    That he ain't said?

    Sing a song for freedom
    Sing a song for love
Sing a song for depressed angels
    Falling from above.
    Grandpa held the paper
    Pretending he could see
    But he couldn't read
    Without his glasses on
    "How can all those people
    Afford so many things?
When I was young we wore
    What we had on."

Mamma said, "A little love and affection
    In everything you do
Will make the world a better place
    With or without you.
    "A little love and affection
    In everything you do
    A better place
    With or without you."

Slamming down some late night shots
The artist and the hero compare
    Those envisions and afterthoughts
    For the twenty first century.
But mostly came up with nothing
So the truth was never learned
    And the human race just
    Kept rollin' on.
    Rollin' through the fighting
    Rollin' through the religious wars
    Rollin' down the temple walls
    And the churches' exposed sores.
    Rollin' through the fighting
    Through religious wars
    Mostly came up with nothing...

    "Grandpa, here's your glasses;
    You'll see much better now,"
    Said that young girl
    Of Edith and Earl's.
    But Grandpa just kept starin'
He was lost in some distant thought
Then he turned and he said
    To that young girl,

    "A little love and affection
    In everything you do
Will make the world a better place
    With or without you.

    "A little love and affection
    In everything you do
    A better place
    With or without you."

    Hear the rooster crowin'
    Down on the Double E
    It's a new morning
    Breaking on the green.
    Bouncing off the Towers,
The sun's heading for the street
    The business meeting
    Window shades are drawn.
    Another morning edition
    Is headed for the porch
Because Grandma puts down the paper
    Before Grandpa raises his fork.

    A little love and affection
    In every thing you do
    A better place
    With or without you.

Zep is def one of my favorite bands. I do find it funny tho, that they have inspired more SHITTY bands than anyone else. I don't think that anyone else can harness the energy put off by EVERYONE in the band. I often smoke up and put on one of my dads old vinyls in. I still have 2 huge crates full of his old records.......niiice

I love love love Led Zeppelin. Robert Plants voice is amazing. So are his tight jeans.

But even better: Seeing your grandmother rock out to When the Levee Breaks. It was like a head bang for the older crowd. Ah I love my grammie :)

You can keep whatever you want, but from a musician's standpoint, I feel that alot of it can often be a joke, though it's still better than putting up with local government offices or the DMV anyday.

Same way with the Stones and whatnot, but at least they didn't do it so much as under their noses.

I do have to say that all blues is is molding and picking up on things, but that's a huge differ from being plageristic.

I love the old Stones with Brian Jones and the heavy blues influence. I wouldnt call it ripping off.....how about giving homage? They credited every blues tune they used....
There's nothing wrong with loving a certain type of music and playing it. Old rock and roll is what got me into the blues in the first place...I like to hear where the influence came from, and I have a huge love of blues. It's like people who listen to hiphop and dont realize that the hooks are from James Brown and William Devaughn and old school types....you gotta know where the shit came from in order to truly appreciate it.

Hey I think that was Jack White from the White stripes that said that. I remember it from a trailer on tv recently. I personally love Led Zep, when the Levee breaks rules! xx merry xmas
