California gives more money to the US Government than Texas and Florida combined.
For every Dollar, California gives, we only get back 48 cents back.

I signed the petition for Califonia to succeed from the US.

California is subsidizing Red MAGA States, that put no effort to be self sufficient, particularly many states in the South and Midwest.

 

That concept has been considered in the past. The same scenario has been proposed to counter the Texas lobby getting rewarded by the white house and the congress to award contracts to Texas using California Revenues. The Enron scandal was an attempt by Texas to take over Californias public utilities supported by the Bush family. The only plausible idea I have heard is for Washington, Western Oregon, and California Petition to secede and join Canada. There was interest in Baja California, Vermont and Maine to join in. The only barrier is the Military bases in Southern California would be too cherished by the Remaining federal government. It is obvious that the west coast does not want to a fascist puppet to Russia and China, with idiots voting for these traitors in the trump coalition.

Really? Where's the link at? I doubt anything will come of it, but it wouldn't hurt to sign. Also, I know Denmark and Canada were just joking, but I wouldn't be opposed. Though I don't blame them for not wanting to risk going to bat for us.

 

Figuring that where I live in Jersey its the same as in California, that we pay more in, than comes back to us from DC.
Would be the same in any higher income State. And we support low income States.

Yet, if our government is operated efficently, cleanly and honestly I wont complain.

If our government is plagued by waste and fraud; and audits are poo-pooed; then taxes become more of an issue.

 

Yeah our taxes in Cali are sky high garbage. And government officials are seldom honest.

 

Can foreignors sign the petition. I think California might make a great independant country as would other places like New York State, Louisiana, Illinois, Alaska, Hawaii - cut to the chase I think the majority of the states would be better off breaking away from Trumps vision of a great america.

 

I think, California would be better off joining Canada.
