The trailers smell slightly of poo. Think I'll give this one a miss. Any American people going to confirm my suspicions?
I'm american! Yeah, I did'nt see it, but it looks like a blatent rip off of the animatrix. I'm not gonna go see it.
Right thats enough!...I'm not alone in thinking it will be a pile of pants, good, I'm off to buy tickets instead for King Arthur and I'm going to watch it dressed in costume fitting the film. Ooh Keira Knightley!
the movie turned out to be good even though it looked stupid...king athur was pure crap and not even worth the price of admission..though guinevere was nice eyecandy
You people are all amazing! Never before have I seen so many people willing to judge something without experiencing it! And then some of you get all self-congratulatory, saying you're glad you're not alone in suspecting that the movie would be bad. I gave it a shot, and I thought it was actually really well done! I actually enjoyed it! The robot animation effects are amazing! But for shame. For a bunch of people who probably otherwise pride themselves on their compassion and objectivity and fairness, it's amazing that you were so ready to leap on this movie -- without having seen it -- and trash it so. -Jeffrey
If anything, that's the movie that seems like it would SUCK. I read a review of it, a rather intelligent review, that pointed out many flaws in the supposed "clarification" of the actual legend of King Arthur. And part of what they panned about that movie was how everyone living in the forests speaks this perfect, elegant English, and the leading lady has no trouble finding these spiffy outfits to wear in the middle of nowhere... It looks stupid from where I see it. Like they couldn't pick whether it would be medieval or Roman times, or what. Looks like they just raided the costume departments of Excalibur, Lord of the Rings and Troy and took whatever they could carry, then dressed their actors in it all. -Jeffrey
I'll probably see the movie in time. But I'd rather re-read the book before I go. Somehow I don't think Hollywood can do Isaac Asimov justice.
anything showed in the media with Will Smith on it is crap and should stay as crap. Thank You. Smoke Up!
yeah man they turned intellectual aasimov into an action flick. can you imagine what he would say to that? bicentennial man was done right but this was just fucked up.
do you realize how insanely hypocritical that was? that blows my mind. anyways, im kind of interested but not enough to go to the theaters. i think it looks like it'll just be another blockbuster mush-movie, so im not gonna run out. my sister saw it though and she said it was good, but shes only 12.
the only reason i went to see this movie is because my girlfriend wanted to see it. i predicted a lot of the plot twists before i even walked in the theatre. even though it was predictable it wasnt as bad as i expected it to be.
Peacefuljeffrey, you are a complete idiot and a hypocrite. So it isn't alright for the thread maker to think that I-Robot looks dumb, but it is perfectly alright for you to think that King Arthur looks dumb? I've never seen a positive post from you. Anyway, the movie isn't my type at all. Generally I don't like action movies at all (an exception being Spiderman). So, I probably won't ever see it. Futuristic stuff also does not particularly interest me.
I saw it and surprisingly I enjoyed it. I don't usually go for those science fiction movies. I wouldn't see it a second time, or buy it or anything, but yeah it was a decent movie.
It wasn't bad, not great either. I was getting pretty interested as the movie's plot unfolded, but at the end I was rather disappointed. It lost its edge, IMO, after the climax when they break into the Robotics Corp building, and the ending was too abrupt. I thought it was a great concept, but it definitely could have been handled better. I think they spoiled their chance to make it more than the somewhat-intellectual thriller that it was.
Everybody hear me out... It was a waste of money because you can figure out the whole movie from just the previews, so don't see this. It was a waste of money, much like the village was, except I expected this movie to be shit. In every Will Smith movie, his car gets destroyed or what not, and there's always a punchline or shit about it. I'm just going to list the things that made me hate this movie, 1. The previews- they looked generic and shitty. Too much stereotypical phrases such ass, aww hew no! 2. Will Smith's ass- ........ 3. The red and green lights that tell wether the robot is angry or nice- you're starting to see the picture. 4. Everything that makes you emberessed about watching the movie- such as this one scene where he saves a cat. 5. The products featured- FedEx, Converse(vintage 2004 for all yall suckas), and a bunch of other bullshit companies. 6. I could ramble on forever...I can't stand even thinking about I, Robot, oh yeah one last thing, 7. The Name- I COMMA ROBOT?
