Hello. My name is Brian. This is my first forum so I expect to fly under most peoples' radar. I just recently was given the gifts of greater self knowledge and greater self love. This in turn led to the gift of unconditional love, as in both giving and receiving it. I'm currently in the process of rejecting a lifetime of suppression, oppression, religious brainwashing and all other types of control like guilt tripping, peer pressure or fear tactics, if you get my drift. I'm rebuilding from the inside out. I'm a blank canvas, I'm a work in progress. I suspect I always will be. I'm here to learn everything I can, from anyone I can, about any subject I can. My intent is to learn from people who actually have real life experience in whatever the topic may be. Experience is more valuable than any collage degree. Experience is how you TRULY learn. If you've ever even stood outside the University of Shit-Just-Got-Real, then you get what I mean. So before I commit too many more fuck-ups, big or small, I figured I'd lurk around here and see what I might learn from some experienced people. Notice I didn't say 'knowledgeable'. I said 'experienced'. There's a huge difference between the two in my eyes. Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to. I'm not shy or anything. I'm mostly just here to observe and learn. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Welcome to the schoolhouse! You're sure to learn a lot here! Maybe even teach a bit! I pick a song for each new member; something their post or name suggests to me. Here's what I have for you: Len Barry's 123!
Welcome my friend. You say " I only know that I know nothing" which means you know a lot because you say you do not know anything. If you say that you know a lot, it will mean that you know nothing. As you say experience is worth more than a college degree, I agree with you, many scientists and successful people never go to college to get just a degree. Anyway, Merry Christmas and happy new year.
Hello Brian, Welcome to hip forums. You’re right of course, knowledge is no substitute for experience.
