Does anyone have any tips on how to sort of make a purse, I really really really want to transform an old purse into a guns'n'roses purse, but I'm not quite sure how, or what material to use, the purse I'm bought is black and plain, about 8 inches high and 6 inches wide. But I don't know how exactly to start on it. I bought it at an antique shop, so I don't mind hurting it or anything. Please, please give me some tips if you have any. Thanks
If you don't mind hurting the purse, I would go down to your local cloth store and find a pattern of a purse that you'd like to carry. Take the GNR off the old purse and make it as a patch...or even a stash pocket on your new purse. Ask the ladies working in the store, usually they are pretty friendly and work there because they are "crafty" themselves.
I'm not sure which kind of purse it is, but you could try cutting a GNR logo off a t-shirt and attaching it to the purse. You could also try tracing the logo on the purse and then filling it in with fabric glitter paint (you know, the puffy stuff) hop here for inspiration:http://www.naughtysecretaryclub.com/purses/hopeperkins.shtml you could apply a patch to the purse... Go wild! Lindiglo
hey, i've got a great idea - how about making a purse out of troll-skin? i'm sure you can work it just like leather... (pssst...hippie hunter...go back under your bridge & eat billy goats.)
