i am 13 and i live at home with my parents, so i was under the impression that an indoor grow would be near impossible. but recently i have been thinkng, and i have found a way to do it!
i am using a wooden box that is approximately 1.7X1.7X1.7, i know that this is not enough verticle space to grow a plant all the way to harvest, but is this ok at least untl i get into vegitation stage?
i currently have about 15 seeds, 10 wildberryXhawiian and 5 unknown.(im not %100 sure about that because i 'borrowed' them from my Dad. i have tried and tried to germinate seeds in the past, but have failed every time. i have planted about 5 seeds(in not 100% sure wich ones, because i mixed the two types of seeds together in 1 bag)in a small china pot that would have a circumfrence of about....25cm. i planted lots to try and improve my chance of succes. i have generously watered the seeds and placed them about 1 foot under a 100watt spot-light. i am using poting mix(my Dad uses it, and it works alright for him, so it must be good).
i HOPE that i am succesfull this time.
i have been reseraching HEAPS about growing marijuana in the last month or so, and i have tried to germinate using the paper-towel method over and over again, and i seriously DO NOT know why i am failing, it may have been the seeds i was using tho, i think that they might be to old.
my Dad has recently germinated a bunch of seeds that i belive to be the ones that i am using now, i think all he did was put them in pots and place them in the sun. i have put alluminum foil inside my box to reflect light, and i do not think that i have any leaks.
i have a few hundred dollars, so i think that i will buy a good light and some other supplies. i also need to find a way to circulate air inside my grow box.
if i take my plants outside after i have had them inside for the first few weeks of thier life, will it affect them?
any advice is greatly appreciated, and i just wanted to say how much i have learned from u all at this forum!

    hoaaaaaa....
nice one.. but.. one question tho... can't you just grow w/ your dad? i mean... if i got it right, he's a grower... the fact that he was clumsy enough to let you find out is leverage...
any way... shouldn't be a problem to take the plant outside if it grows.. just don't transplant it more than once..

my Dad has been growing for a long time! and it is not because of clumsiness that i found out, everyone in my family knows it, including my little twin brothers(10 yrs old). he does not really try to hide it, so it is definately not leverage. and i SERIOUSLY doubt that he would be cool about me growing WEED, i just recently got busted for stealing one of his buds(i got immunity if i got it back, pretty good deal).

so u say that it is alright if i transplant a plant from indoors to outdoors(i would only do it once, becuse i read that doing it regularly it will stun the plant), thats good to knnow:D

im guessing ur box is 1ft7in X 1ft7in X 1ft7in. This would be just OK for sprouting the seeds and maybe 2 weeks or so after they pop. It would then be time to look for a bigger space. I get about a 98% sprouting with this method. I use those dixie or keg cups.....16oz i believe. Fill the keg/dixie cup with your soil, water so the soil is evenly moist, then take a toothpick or something similar and stir up the soil in the cup so that the soil isn't compacted. Now plant 1 seed per cup. Take a regular sandwich baggy and cover the top of the cup making a humidity dome, use scotch tape to keep the baggy tight around the cup. I germinate mine under two 26W CFL's. You don't need light to sprout seeds but i find the heat from the bulbs help them germinate quicker. Mine usually pop through the soil in 3-4 days. As soon as the seedling is visible take the humidity cover (sandwich baggy) off. Voila! you just sprouted some seeds ;)

Now the question about starting seeds indoors and then moving them outdoors. This is how many people get their outdoor crop started....start em' indoors then harden them off then move them totally outdoors. Do a google search on, Hardening Off. Anywho, just keep reading up on grow journals and you should have an Ok start but i would definately look for something bigger after your seeds sprout.

Don't tell people online that your dad is doing crime. Don't tell anyone for that matter.

canaboy you should watch the news before you assume that its safe to tell the world your dad grows. TRUST NO ONE !!! big brother is watching

As of the rest of you giving this 13 year old grow advice is most irresponsable!!!!!!!!!
