I need help with my bud!

Ok I had a half and there was a nug about a quarter in weight and it was really nice bud that broke into bowl sized nugs. Now I think its drying out because its breaking into flake... Is there anyway I can moisten the rest of it so that it stops breaking into flake?

I can't. I'm saving it for Christmas Eve and Christmas... I don't want it to be totally flake. I have enough now for joints, I don't need more.

An orange peel in the bag or a piece of bread, or a damp paper towel in the bag not touching the bud could help to moisten it a little but it wont do too much. Dry weed is not necessarily a bad thing. You can still smoke it and get nice and high, it will just burn a bit faster and possibly be a bit more harsh.

 

no method i've tried has ever worked.... i agree just smoke it and buy more later or deal with it being dry. what are you keeping it in?

 

The part that is dry is in a tin with a rubber seal. The tip of the nug is in a baggy inside a metal box, but I also have some chronic in a bag in the metal tin and it isn't dry.

 

I have never saved my weed longer than a day. But I would suggest you get a vacuum sealer, and seal it in the bag. Thats what I do when I don't smoke my bud right away.

Lol how often do you smoke, or even better question, how often do you buy weed and in what quantities?

 

like skier said, dry weed isn't necessarily bad, but if you must try to rehydrate it, you could try a piece of lettuce (no flavor), bread, or orange peel NOT TOUCHING the bud. don't leave it for long or wrap it up with the bud airtight, because that could grow mold. BAD to smoke.

you could also try storing your bud in an airtight glass (mason) jar or similar, to avoid it from drying out.

 

The mold is why I'm hesitant... I would be so pissed if I lost all my bud, the best I've had in months scummed to mold right before the second best holiday of the year... I'd have to rush to get more, and with all the chaos of freaks shopping for all their gifts... It sucks just working, watching all of those fuckers go into stores as I ring my bell!

Once pot gets dry it's hard to moisten it up without making it mold. I do suggest trying to place a piece of fruit, wet paper, or anything that is slightly moist in an airtight container with the bud. Make sure the bud is on one side and the moistening agent (lol) on the other side. Leave it for a few hours and then check it. Keep repeating until the bud is nice and damp. But like was said previously, smoking dry weed isn't that bad, especially if you don't want to go through the trouble of making it damp again.
I definitely think that you need to get some kind of glass jar to keep the bud in. It's easy storage and keeps the bud nice and fresh.

 

Make a humidor!!!!

Put your weed in an open plastic container in cooler.

Grab a sponge. Put hot water on it. Put it in the cooler, close it. Let the bud soak up the moisture. Repeat as needed but don't do it too much.


Kind'a risky though because wet weed is an invitation for mold. I actually once bought a QP of weed that I THOUGHT was the finest KB on the planet. The guy put some in a grinder and showed me how much kief was in it and I was blown away, but once I bought the weed I noticed that the tips of some buds were hard as a rock and super kiefy. Turns out it was mold, my friend ground some up and I looked in the grinder and there were two distinct colors - that of the keif and a more yellow/brown that was mold. Not cool. Turned out the guy he'd bought it from that time had been misting it with water to give it more weight.

It smoked fine but a lot of the weight of that batch was moldy, dense ass weed; I've heard of a few people getting sick from that but I didn't and nobody I sold it to complained about anything but the absurd harshness of it.

 

Fuck it, I'll let it dry, this is all too much trouble for it.

 

Just put a little orange peel inside a mason jar with your bud. Leave it in there until the bud feels moist. It'll also give it a nice orange smell as well

 

Don't do that. really it's not THAT complicated to fix. Just put something damp in with it. The pot will suck up the moisture. Thats all there is to it.
