I need advice.

I don't want to have to hate my parents but they're really fucking things up. I've become a hermit over time and it's really bringing me down. The reason I don't do anything anymore (and this might sound silly) is because anytime I used to go anywhere or do anything my parents would make a big deal out of it and then going out would be spoiled and I wouldn't enjoy the night. So basically I can't enjoy anything anymore, so I don't do anything, just sit at home. Then my friends tell me to get out of the house and see the world and that pisses me off. I'd love to. Like whenever I've went out a lot they'd always be giving me a hard time. In my house you can't stand up for yourself and if you do you get the shit kicked out of you.
Anytime I tell my mother I'm down she starts talking about God. They make us say the rosary every night just for the sake of it. They're not even thinking about what they're saying.
I don't really have a way with words, so this probably looks like a stupid rant. It IS a stupid rant actually. But I'd really like to enjoy the life I was given.
Has anyone had the same kind of upbringing? Please give me some advice...cheers!

 

Well honestly don;t let them make you sit at home and turn into what you don't want to be. Go out your not spoiled, have fun when you do. Don't let them turn you into something you never want to be. Standing up for what you believe in is never easy! Be strong. Turn off your cell phone if you have one...or leave it at home if you think you won;t need it in emergancy. If you can try telling your parents nicely that you are going out and give them a time when your coming home and let them know where you are I don;t think it should be a problem.

Stay stong, and go out and once your out have fun

yep i had a catholic environment , and older 'old fashond parrents . you just gotta keep making timen space that isnt fucked up by or under the eye of a judgemental , life denying , and dualistic [ie seperating matter and spirit ] way of seeing things . but dont get pushed into the role of bad guy cause they will push you into doing stuff you dont even want to just to show em ....avoid this .

just protect yourself from other peoples halucinations ....create yourown myths ....ignore foolish arbitrary nonsense .
