It's been such a long time that I've read a really really good book, that I actually enjoyed and felt some what stimulated reading it. Any suggestions? I'm up for anything.
well i don't know what all you've read, but on the subject of Beat and Hippie books i'd say, Howl-Allen Ginsberg On The Road- Jack Kerouac The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test-Tom Wolfe Junky or Lunch- William S. Burroughs all of those are pretty much essentials.
This is more of a semi/depressing book about a girl's survival in foster homes after her mother commits muder. "White Oleander" by Janet Fitch Not so much hippie, but we need to explore all kinds of books, ya know? Love
I liked Bridges of Madison County, an easy, sentimental read good for any hippie girl. For non-fiction material way out of hippie bounds, there is Lothrop Stoddard's Revolt Against Civilization.
Have you read The Celestine Prophecy? It was rather stimulating for many people I know. Not a bad read.
