I make fun of Conspiracy Theorists

Every time somebody tells me of their conspiracy theories I have a general tendency to find the holes in them. Usually they are big enough to drive trucks through.

Usually the first question I have to ask is, "If they are going through all of this trouble to hide this shit including killing people then why are you still alive?" Followed by, "How come all of your 'Experts' that have proof are still alive?"
Followed by "How come the video evidence to support your theory still exists?"

Then usually I have the thought that if they spent the time they used coming up with this theory to actually doing something that would make the world a better place then coming up with half baked theories as to who is in charge and what they are planning to do with their power the world wouldn't be nearly as fucked up as they say it is. If somebody gets shot the first course of action isn't to find out who shot them.

How do you change the system if you don't know who to overthrow? How do you change peoples minds if you don't research and find information about what the governments are doing? I guess for people like you ignorance is bliss.

I do not understand... so if someone gets shot you shouldn't find out who shot them? I also don't see how that has anything to do with your post.

 

I think most conspiracy theories are actually put out out there to specifically to make the common intelligetsia apathetic and immobile. *shifty eyes*

Most of what's said is just as spectacular and just as fear driven as any media outlet they decry. There is never a solution or an action to take because "The Elite" control it all so no matter what you do, you can't change it. Good work on not be controlled... They make you useless and convince you that you're so much more smarter and aware than everybody else at the same time.

DO something. Awarness is great but without action, it's impotent.

I like to think of myself as a moderate CTist. Some shit, you just really can't deny. Some shit is out in left field. I will take any information mainstream or fringe and if it doesn't hold up in my eyes, then I'm not going to accept it until some better information comes along. Or if I hold an opinion and learn something new that makes me re-evaluate my stance, I will re-evaluate.

See, people can fall into the same trap with fringe media as with main stream - Meaning, some just memorize what some disinfo site told them and they just spew it back, no different than any Fox/MSN viewer spewing back what lame-stream told them was the 'truth'. But some people, on both sides of this equation just don't like to think for themselves.

 

I believe he said 'the first thing' you do, isn't to find the shooter. But valiant effort on twisting his words.

It's a metaphor. Sometimes linear minds don't understand them. No worries.

OP: Can you give us a specific example?

I have seen a post by Rev. JC saying that he knows of people that "think the cia perpetuated [he meant to say perpetrated] 911" as if they are not thinking straight. So how much research has JC done into the events of 911? And has he tried to apply fundamental laws of physics to the official explanations? And is he aware that there are groups such as http://www.ae911truth.org/ and http://pilotsfor911truth.org/ ? Does he listen to independent scientific analysis or what the TV tells him?

The game is being played at level five out of five. Conspiracy theories are usually at level two. At this point I know consensus reality is fake but I also know alternative reality is fake. Not knowing what the hell is going on isn't something a lot of people are willing to face.

 

I agree with the first part, but grouping all conspiracy theorists into one group and saying it's bullshit is ignorant if you ask me.

No shit it's a metaphor, but what does that have to do with conspiracy theories, obviously you try to get them help, but right after you want to find out who the shooter is, don't you? My point is that his metaphor does not belong with the rest of his post. If you are going to use a metaphor, use one that pertains to your original point.

Oh, ok. Outrageous generalisation. Kind of detracts from the value of your post. A LOT.

Let's see, once 911 had happenned, what was George Bush and his administration doing..? OMG HE WAS TRYING TO PLACE THE BLAME!!

After the shooting and bombing in Oslo, what did Obama come right out and do? OMG HE TRIED TO BLAME THE ARABS!!!!

Do you see where this is going? I don't know how you can think that conpiracy theorists are guilty of this when the government does it right in front of your face.

And please, give us some specific examples. At the moment this just sounds a lot like a fantasy in your head.

 

Let's take a good look at the CIA for a minute.

Historically they have been involved in assassinations, drug smuggling and coverups. They are also really good at denying involvement,and covering their tracks. Do you really think that if they did it they would leave that much evidence laying around? The only people that I know who are better at covering up their shit are the Mafia.

Considering the amount of value that they put on human lives do you think that any of the "experts" that have come forward with "definitive" evidence would even be allowed to live let alone speak of it?

And if they did do it what are you going to do to change it? Are you able to fix it? Are you able to undo it? Are you able to do anything remedy the situation?

I didn't think so.

One of the first thoughts I had when Bush said he wanted to find everybody who made it possible and pay was "Start with your own family." It is a well known fact that Bush Sr. armed and trained Bin Laden and his men when he was head of the CIA. There is a very famous news photograph of Bush Sr. shaking hands with Bin Laden when he was doing it.

You can sit around with your conspiracy theory and spout it far and wide but it still doesn't change shit. It still happened and there still isn't shit that you can do about it. The actions taken after haven't made the world any safer. Spouting conspiracies isn't doing shit.

Let's call a spade a spade here Conspiracy Theories to me are the same bait and switch diversion tactics that the conventional media use. They are just theories.

I think one of the funniest conspiracy theories I have heard recently is that Bill Hicks isn't dead. They faked his death and now he is Alex Jones. The dude doesn't even sound like him.

On that note. From what I've heard of Alex Jones he sounds awfully full of himself. If he really was as much of a threat as he seems to say that he is then he would have an "unfortunate accident" end of story.

Yes, citing a rough history of the corruption of the CIA is a good way to indicate that this sort of organisation is likely to have a hand in these things. You say "leave so much evidence laying around", which evidence are you talking about?

Once the "experts" are in the public eye, it is almost proof of involvement to eliminate them in such ways. Suspicious deaths arouse more suspicion. Dr. David Kelly, for instance. If they started assassinating university professors then things would only get worse for them. You use quotation marks on definitive, so I'm not sure if you actually mean that word or not. The information is so widely spread so quickly now (due to the internet amongst other things) that it would be ineffective to kill people for knowing most things about 911.

What can I do to change it? Spread word of the corruption. This, like pretty much EVERYTHING in society, is not about sole individual effort, it is about collective consciousness. So when you say am I able to, yes of course I am. I could very well be the person that brings the word to the common people and unites them in the cause to bring peace to the Earth and leave those innocent Arab nations alone. I have already changed as a result of what I have learned about this subject, it is up to other people to change themselves. People like me can help facilitate this change, that's all anyone could really do. Weak questions, man, they don't even address what I was talking about.

So, one of your first thoughts was "911 was an inside job"??? You seem to be citing facts that would support the conspiracy theory. The ties between the Bushes and the Bin Ladens were and still are very strong. Where is the evidence to implicate Osama Bin Laden, by the way?

There is shit we can do about it: We can not be fooled into an illegal war again. We stop another event like this happening, we can stop all the war and famine and everything bad, in theory, people just need to know that they themselves are powerful, valuable humans and stop suckling from the government's nipple.

You're right, the actions taken after 911 haven't made the world any safer... That's because they are the government's actions, not the actions of responsible people. I don't really know what you mean by that statement, again you seem to be providing basis for the conspiracy theory.

It was widely known in the intelligence community that the event was set to happen. Again, how much research have you actually done regarding this event? Could you give me your version of events and the reasons behind them? And think carefully about Isaac Newton and the immutable laws of physics while you do.

You are not calling the spade which is the saying "calling a spade a spade" a spade, you are giving it some other name and meaning. You are calling many things a spade and using vast generalisations and a jilted, biased and prejudiced view to view many things that are different as one entity. Refer to the link posted by midgardsun that cites conspiracy theories that are now proven as true. I don't think you've actually done any real thinking about this at all.

 

This displays your ignorance of this particular subject. "Conspiracy Theorists" coined this as a joke. It is entertainment. It's funny when people take jokes as if they were meant to be serious and then say it's stupid! You're stupid for not realising it's a joke!!

 

i couldn't agree more... and i have to say Rev, you do seem a little confused... there are many conspiracy facts, and we should never pass lightly over them or treat them with contempt...
