!!!! I really do. I have this "prejudice" that all Canadians are extremely decent friendly and kind (even those damn French/Qeubecois, which ironically I am a grandson of). Anyway I'm looking to make friends in Canada and hopefully marry one of you. I'm especially interested in Western Canadians. I'd be happy to swap nationalities when we end up getting a divorce. (Do you all divorce like U.S. citizens do?) lots of love and laughing out loud!
I totally apologize for that. I didn't really mean to come off as it sounded. I just had a kinda unpleasant few times in France. But I know that racism is basically ignorance. Ignorance and fear.
France and Quebec are very different. Hell, even their vocabulary is different.... some words are englisized in one and not in the others french is cool
van island rocks *thumbs up* (is from van) i have only been to quebec twice but i liked it alot. the people were very nice
Oddly enough even a lot of Quebecois don't like the French because they mock the Quebecois dialect as being lazy and uneducated... which is funny, because the Quebec dialect is really just a slightly anglasised and culturally modifed version of 17th century french(the dialect braught over by the first Canadiens) a dielect which differs greatly from that which followed in France as a result of the french revolution. So one could say the Quebecois speak more propper then the French... but I better shut up before Perisian whacks me on the head with a bagette But ya, careful what you say because placing the Quebecois in the same pool as the French is like Saying all Americans are like the English. The two cultures are seperated by over 350 years of history and cultural evolution.
I'm honored you replied. "come to the darkside, we have cookies" mmmmmmmmm cookies!! Yum! ...but you also have Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Donald Trump and others!
I just gotta say that Canada is where I was born, and will always stay... noone locks their doors here, it is friendly news, and yea I live in a perfect marshmellow cloud town over a rainbow, with flowers, butterflys and little mole men .....o' wait *sarcasim*
I felt like Saskatchewan needed some props to go with the whole "yeah Western Canada" movement we've got going on here. So... ummm.. "yeah saskatchewan! Home of fields of wheats, lots of livestock and not much else."
I went to visit the buddhist monk by Hedley a few years back, his home was a tiny cave in the side of a mountain, truely amazing I love BC so much, I'm actually comming out there and treking up Vancouver Island the Queen Charlottes in just over 2 weeks!!!
