    I demand your sympathy.

God hates me. You don't lose when you go all in with a full house. That goes against the laws of physics. And the laws of nature. And the laws of Thailand.

My bankroll is now completely non-existant. Oh joy. And I don't have a credit card to refill it. And I have nothing to do.

    I need a hobby.

as a rookie player you should really only be playing sit and go's and tournaments...furthermore there's a good rule of thumb to follow in terms of bank roll: never spend more than 10-15% of it on any one entry...

    better luck next time;)

p.s what's your pokerstars user name?

Yeah. I normally play Sit & Go tourneys, though I didn't really have much time to get involved in a game.

Yeah. I normally don't buy in with much, but I only had a couple bucks in my bankroll anyways, so I figured I'd just go for it.

Uh, it's sethmaclaren. We should play sometime, if you're ever interested.

not if someone else has four of a kind.

why not just play with the play money.
    that's what i do.
this way you can practice and get more familar with the game.
I've been playing for like two years now and still make dumb bets.
    but i limit my betting.

I've also met a lot of nice people there.

Look for me on the tables "TheWhoRocks"

    later and good luck.

Yeah. Thats kinda what happened. I was going with the fact that the probability of someone getting a 4 of a kind in the same hand that someone got a full house would be very low. Apparently not low enough.

I do play with play-money sometimes, but what I can't stand about it is that nobody takes it seriously, so you'll often get all ins with absolutely nothing. I've found all it really does is give you bad habits, and stuff like that.

    :D

I have a friend that plays a lot, so I'm probably going to get a few bucks in it. Only to lose it once again.

Oh well. Addictions are expensive :D

    Micro

It all depends. A lot of the times when I don't have very much in my bankroll, I'll just play .10/.20 fixed limit.

It a really all revolves on what my bankroll looks like though. Sometimes I'll play No-Limit. Sometimes tournaments. Sometimes fixed. But mainly when I just play at standard tables, it's 6 person fast play.

that's poker for ya, you can be the safest player and then a big hand comes along and you think "oh i don't have to play THIS hand safe" and that little lapse in your concentration is when they get ya.

i'd say the big hands are the most dangerous, unless you have the best possible 2 cards to go with the board don't go all in unless you KNOW they are bluffing, lots of tells etc. and it's hard to tell a bluff in online poker.

I hear ya there. In those cases I just sit back and wait for a good hand and take all their chips. :)

Sometimes you can find a good table where everyone is playing fair.

I'm a conservative player and I don't let how some a-holes play affect
    my play.
I play the chips like i would real money. I don't win millions of chips but
    i enjoy myself.

I like playing limit hold-em in casinos. i'm a very patient player and that suits limit much more so than no limit. i was on a tear last summer, bank rolling over $1600 before I called it quits.

Not if you're playing against donks. The only way to win against a donk is to all in when you have royal flush.... The you will split the pot
