Tribute To A Best Friend Sunlight streams through window pane unto a spot on the floor.... then I remember, it's where you used to lie, but now you are no more. Our feet walk down a hall of carpet, and muted echoes sound.... then I remember, It's where your paws would joyously abound. A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill, then I remember it can't be yours.... your golden voice is still. But I'll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall. I'll wrap these treasured memorials in a blanket of my love and keep them for my best friend until we meet above. Forever rest in peace Bodega, you were a friend and part of the family.......you will be forever missed. if i was on my other computer i would have some better photos from his puppyhood until now...........sure am going to miss the fellar..... - 42o -
Aw, I'm sure he lived a long and love-filled life, the most any dog could ask for This bong's for Bodega :grouphug:
Sorry man :\ that kinda stuff is really sad to me. I have friends that didn't even care when their dog died and I'm just like..wtf..i wish i could be that way. losing hamsters made me cry everytime
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I've had several dogs, and the one that now still survives is the one who has been my best friend over the years. I know it's coming sometime for me too. Dogs are better than people in some ways,,always missing you, and celebrating your arrival when you return, always forgiving your faults or failures towards them. If there's one thing I feel is my mission on earth, it's to give this one dear friend a good home 'til it's his time. Very sorry.
wow thats fucked up, i could see if someone didnt care if their gold fish they got from the fair died, but your dog...... thats just not even cool
I'm really sorry, dude. You're definitely an animal person, like me. We take these things hard, I know how upset I get even when I think about my dogs dying.
you assume that you will outlive your dog when you get them, but when you actually do it hits hard - dogs form special bonds with their owners and not one dog is the same. you gave the dog shelter and im sure it had a great life the even cooler thing about dogs, though, is that when they die you can go find another one at a pound or kennel and change that dog's life by providing for it - starting another long friendship
^that's my favorite part of adopting animals is the difference you can make in their life. You take them out of some shelter & give them the love & life that they could never have just sitting in that shelter. And in return they give you unconditional love & awesome experiences you could never imagine.
