I hopped on a bus and headed north until the bus stopped at 11pm.. lol. I had never been to Port Alberni before.. it was grande. My friend lived in a place called Ucluelet on the west coast of the island and she just moved there so I got her number and stayed with her. That's a pretty big adventure for someone like me who's scared of bus people and who lives in a little conservative town with no excitement. haha.
what i wouldn't do to drop everything and head out! but i don't have a car, and i can't legally drive yet.. two more years!
I lived in the west African nation of Benin for about 4 months this year I was on cultural/international development exchange, I lived with a local family and worked at a farming co-opertive the year before that I did the government sposored Katimavik program, for 7 months you basically live in 3 different comunal houses across Canada with 10 other youth, and do full time volunteer work
I used to dream about running away, mainly to Disney land. Had it all planned out at one point. Never went through with it though. For all my whimsicallity and flightiness I am ultimatly a sage*. So even at that age, I knew full well it would have never worked out (I was about eight and had almost no money and even less of a clue). My last journey of sorts was a holiday in Italy, staying around lake Garda. It's a wonderful place and I had a great time. I'm going to apply to do Camp America next summer, so hopefully I'll do some work in the US then travel a bit afterwards. I'd love to end up in San Fransisco. *Hence the name
