i have been on oxys for 9 years it barely helps my pain my doc said i could switch to

the equivalent of morphine ir you think i should try it?

 

NO....I dont.....Opana and or dilaudid

unless you are considering a better route of administration like IVing or Rectally.....those are you best options to get the best bang out of Morphine.....Dont get me wrong, im a firm believer that anything that comes out of a needle should be given only in a hospital.....but different strokes for different folks......

yeah yeah, i always forget Fentanyl.....dunno why i was on the durgesic patch for a bit...it just always slips my mind......

i havent forgot about you, i have actually been pretty busy trying to get a job out of my union hall.....which means a hour trip one way when there is a call for man power, which is totally fucking my sleep schedule up, lol so just bare with me!!!!!!!!

by shooting morphine via IV its like 90 something bio availability, plugging or using it rectally is better than oral or nasal but not as good as IVing i think bio availability is like 80 percent oral is about 30 percent, and some will argue that snorting it will be better than taking it orally, but from what i have read, that snorting only yields a bio availability of 10-30 percent but it feels like ur getting more because the effects come on stronger......hope this helps, and goodluck to ya man!!

 

Well if you think Opana sucks, Id like to know how you were taking it and what type, id guess since you said Fent is your ER drug that you were getting Opana IR is that right? But like PC said, unless your gonna get the Morphine via IV, then your not gonna like Morphine over Opana. Even rectally, it didnt come close to Opana (depending on amount), but then again, youve been on opiates for 9 years, which is my guess, lots longer than most of us here. I think you best source of info would be the boards at Opiophile.org. Registration is only open once in a while, but there are tons of seasoned Opiate users there.....

 

Morphine is weaker than Oxycodone. 10mg of Morphine (oral) = 5mg of Oxycodone (oral). Like others mentioned, look into Opana ER or supplementing with Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) or even just supplementing with Opana IR (Oxymorphone). Don't forget about Fentanyl too.
