The system now is nothing more than legalized government bribery/cooperation for the richest businesses, and that's also what's destroying our country. I'm sure the EPA has some good employees who care, but at the root, to me, it's another form of legalized bribery.

You are still using the system, in this case the court system. What makes you think that judges, juries, and lawyers can't be bribed or corrupted under the Libertarian system even if a company can be sued?

Your portrayal of the Farmer Assurance provision of the annual farm bill might be a bit dramatic also, although I haven't really studied it. This is from The Skeptical Libertarian:

Myth 5: It protects Monsanto from liability or litigation. The provision has absolutely nothing to do with Monsanto’s liability for imaginary GE health risks or for anything else. The provision simply requires USDA to issue temporary, partial non-regulated status to those crops already-planted to prevent them from being wiped out based on a procedural issue. It doesn’t change farmers’ or Monsanto’s liability for demonstrable harms. Although not a major regulatory change, the provision is still critically important regulatory security for growers. As one farmer from Michigan relates:
For me as a farmer, this small piece provides me with much needed security… A single judge in California could rule that my Roundup Ready corn, which has nearly 25 years of testing, regulatory approval, and real world experience could be banned, and I would be forced to destroy my entire crop, costing me millions of dollars. It would bankrupt my family overnight.

It was not enough in 2010 for Center for Food Safety to have the court order more studies. The group sued to have half the country’s sugar supply destroyed immediately—just like all the crops anti-GE protesters have destroyed all around the world. The Hungarian government, which has banned GE crops outright, actually burned more than 1,000 acres of farmers’ Monsanto GE corn in 2011.
This crusade is not about consumer protection. It is a holy war that anti-biotech fundamentalists wage regardless of the consequences to the world’s poor who desperately need affordable food. The fact that the law has granted them this power is a tragedy that should be rectified. This bill makes a tiny effort to do that.

I'm not saying it "can't," infact, I have declared it can. But if the people put the Constitution in higher esteem than those who are supposed to uphold it, it would take awhile for that to happen. Some of our founders were pro-government and others (like Jefferson and Hamilton,) supported Constitutional Rights, which they had personally had violated by the Brittish Government. They said, "[FONT=&quot]We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights"

To have an unalienable Right, means government didn't give that to you, nor can they take it from us. Our founders who believed in freedom were very Libertarian/classic Liberal. But, again, this was back in 1776 and they saw tyranny; Close to what we have today, but only a small amount is awake, and an even smaller amount actually want real changes, and not throwing more money at make-believe problems.

By the way, the quote in your sig: you do know that Hamilton was not referring to individuals being armed in the Federalist Papers, right?

The Founders believed in carefully delineated federal powers either broad (Hamilton) or limited (Jefferson, sometimes) but all believed in a more powerful state than libertarians purport to believe in. If ever there was a libertarian document it was the Articles of Confederation. There was no national power. The federal government could not tax. Its laws were not supreme over state laws. It was in fact, the hot mess that critics of libertarians believe their dream state would be ... and it was recognized as such by the majority of the country and was why the Constitution was ratified. The Articles of Confederation is the true libertarian founding document and this explains the failure of libertarianism.

He takes most quotes out of context and doesn't understand the philosophical underpinnings of anything except 'muricanism and guns.

I don't want to have to say I'm from NY one more damn time! I come from a place that's supposed to be safe due to government. The only reason NY is 'safe,' is because government Searches anyone they want against the 4th Amendment. You want me to give up my guns, and give complete control to government. I am a writer too, obviously you just write in support of terrorists (US government)
