How come guys have stopped wearing shorts, like short shorts, but instead swap for these...half pants or whatever, I wouldn't call those shorts. Guys used to wear the same kind of shorts as women along time ago. And why is it that you're encouraged to cover up as much of your body as possible, while women are encouraged to do the opposite? I know all of this is social related but that doesn't mean you have to abide it.
My guess: most men go by the trend/what's in the store so whatever gets mainstream they go along with it (in the case of shorts at least). There used to be a time that men (here at least) wore sleeveless swimming pants for example. Now, did they all favor those at the time? I don't think so, they just accepted it was the thing to wear and so they did... same with the half pants thing that came after it
Well if the average man looked like this.. It wouldn't surprise me if this fashion trend was lined up with our diets. Revealing more of an attractive person, is much different that the contrary. I wouldn't want to see an obese man with short shorts and a tank top or whatever
U-Tube says:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip6IgGGhUpQ"]Men shorts of the 80's. - YouTube For me it's a question of big belly overflowing makes one not an attractive sight to see > In respect of woman encouraged to show more, I'm all for displaying Beauty
It isn't possible to buy men's shorts with an inseam of less than 9 inches. For me, because I have short legs but strong-looking thighs, this is way too long. The last time it was possible to buy shorter tennis shorts, for instance, was about 20 years ago. The fashion gods do not give us a choice and I don't know why.
i don't know, i think just about knee length is just the most comfortable. longer or shorter seems to pull at your legs more, knee length massages the thighs just right.
I think swim trunks that go below the knee look ridiculous. I won't wear them. Speedo used to sell trunks (not briefs) called Surf Runners that were shorter, but I don't think they are available anymore.
The real answer is that too many fellow members of the sisterhood care more about whats in their bank balance than whats in their pants, so they dont really get rewarded for trying. That pic of daniel craig, not that he's the best example at 5 foot nothing, but buff like that with those little shorts, most chics wouldnt bother cos they'd have to try too hard fo fend off women like you....or members off my team, that look is a lot more gayer no than when sean connery was in his little shorts back in he 60S You might pretend you dont know what i'm talking about, but you know its true That and the world got fatter, so less buff ones now and more competition for them
No, seriously guys, it was Michael Jordan. He used to think his legs looked bad in the shorter shorts that everybody used to wear, so he was willing to pay a fine to wear his longer than the NBA allowed. A year or two later, he became the biggest sports star in the world, and every young guy wanted to imitate him in every way. The NBA changed its rules and made everybody in basketball wear the long ones. Some players were really pissed off about it. John Stockton used to whine about it in interviews, back when I watched the NBA all the time. He was the last player to give up the traditional shorts, after paying a few fines for not conforming.
That sounds like such an American thing to say, mens fashion the world over was determined by American Basketball Anyway, I'm off to the Oprah magazine site to see what book I'm supposed to read next
What do you mean get rewarded for trying? For trying what? Also not really sure what you meant to say about Craig and Connery.
