with the supposed "young jimi hendrix." basically saying he discovered guitar, because he chose pepsi over coke. totally lame. jimi got his first guitar from his dad. how stupid are these fucks??? another reason why i hate TV.
aww i thought it was cute.......... lil jimi with his guitar................... i know it isnt how it happend but hey, it appealed to me. i also dig the no rain commercial with the hot dog girl and pepsi boy lol
i thought it was cute too....everyone with common sense knows he didn't play guitar because of pepsi, but it was good for a laugh
i thought the accordion version of the song sounded awesome...ive always wanted to learn accordion... i thought i was a bad ad cuz i like coke better!!!
I love it! I'm sure nobody takes it as a factual account but it is a cute little ad. I'd just like to know where a kid gets the money to buy either a guitar or an accordian! because I'm having trouble saving up for either! Lindi
i hate it because they used his image and name, i dont think jimi would sell out like that if he were alive. i also cant stand pepsi because they use fake, sellout popstars to sell their nasty product. i prefers coke
I don't blame Pepsi or TV for that ad. I blame the executors of Hendrix's estate. They're the real jackasses.
Pepsi wasnt even invented in that time period either. and Hendrix grabs the guitar with the wrong hand!
I like how they used a Telecaster in the advert. The advert is set in 1953, which is before the Stratocaster was introduced (May 15th 1954). I don't know if it was accidental or intentional, but if it was intentional then they certainly did their homework Also, for the fellow UK'er who can't see the advert...if you go to the Pepsi website, they have clips of the adverts they have... http://www.pepsi.com/ads_and_history/index.php The Hendrix one is called Crossroads. It's worth watching just for the Purple Haze accordian version
