Now I am often accused of being no fun... And it's true, I'm not. But does anyone else find Halloween to be a ridiculous and annoying holiday? If you're older, then maybe it takes having kids to really appreciate, but for me, I completely lost interest in it not long after around 10 years of age. Maybe it has to do with what Halloween has become over the years, but to me it just seems like such a tacky and cliche holiday. But I feel this way about all holidays to some degree. Maybe it's also partly to do with the fact that I don't like kids, and I don't like hearing people ring my doorbell every three minutes, even though I don't even have the lights on and try to make it look like nobody's home.
Try being a teacher...ugh. Feel your pain. It is pointless and only an excuse for children to act up....
I love dressing up so like. Halloween is fun, I like it. I get free candy and get to see cool costumes
Man you hate ever holiday. Halloween is the best. Its a day where people are known to scare the shit out of others. That should be right up your alley. Not to mention the amount of awesome parties that happen. Since you don't like halloween guess you never been to the places where everyone dresses up, real dress up. Girls in tight shorts small shirts not complaining about the cold cause they loving what they in, a sexy cop to arrest you for the night. Not to mention as a kid i could walk to every house of people i didn't know and they load me up with candy for weeks if not months. You'd buy trash bags cause they hold weight and lots of it. So halloween is awesome, get creative with a costume and involves you putting on clothes, hand our candy to kids and party in the late night. Starting to think you love easter Pressed. You can run around and collect eggs for your egg salad. :sultan:
I check there is a real party time this year, and dressing up in costumes is not manditory. Janis Joplin I look committed suicide in August 1970 from doing to many public performances and not enough private ones.
i don't live in the suburbs, so i don't have to deal with trick or treaters. otherwise, halloween just seems like a time that more horror movies are on tv, and girls dress a little sluttier. both of which are fine in my book.
Dumb holiday. Kids going out and taking candy from strangers dressed up in costumes. Seems like a ritual, not a holiday.
There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home.
It’s harmless fun; with that said some kid dressed up like a fucking Ewok as if this was 1983 - must have been his parent’s old costume Hotwater
Stop being such a hater, or you'll become a bitter and grumpy old man. But I hear you on this... This is a lack of respect. The rule says that as a trick or treater, you should only knock/ring at the door of the homes that are decorated or look welcoming in some way. No jack'o lantern, no decoration, no lights on = you don't knock, simple as this! I personally enjoy all that silly Halloween related fun, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea so I don't bother knocking at these people's doors and disturbing them out of respect and common sense. I don't get why it's so hard to understand for some people.
