Yes but not only in Thailand. You would be surprised by the amount of people I have met who cannot stop complaining about their adopted countries.

I remember when I first moved to London in 97. I got a job in a bar and their were a couple of old paddies who used to spend their evenings tellingme about what a bad mistake I had made leaving the homeland and how shit everything was in England and how great everything was back home.

After about a week, I eventually lost it and told one guy that for less than the money he had spent in the bar that night, he could buy a ticket and go the fuck home if it was really that bad.

I hate people who moan and moan without ever changing their situation.

There are lots of them 'trapped' over here too.

its not a huge city, but its decently big.

a good friend of mine lives on vashon island. much more my kind of place. small and quiet, laid back, and beautiful scenery.

Seattle just got struck off my list of places to visit.

I had dinner tonight with a gobshite from Finland who is making a living here as a teacher(a shit one I might add) and all he did for the entire duration of the dinner was belittle the education system, talk about some rape that made the news to try and disprove the country's reputation as the land of smiles.

I was wondering tonight, why do people complain so much? I mean, it generally only fuels a feeling of disillusionment and frustration. I know that everybody has their pet peeves but I just don't get this constant moaning.
