I hate ages!!

You can't drive until 16, you aren't an adult until 18, no one takes me seriously because I'm 13! Even if your mature enough to do things, you can't because you're too young! Also, if you aren't mature enough for something, once you're old enough no one can stop you. Does anyone else see something wrong here?

 

not SO much, since it's an average. we all strained at the bit when we were younger. i'm taking you seriously. there's any number of full adults i don't take seriously. i think you may be more sensitive to it now because of your age, and that's annoying, i recall. but it's just a time issue.

 

I thought that 13 was the dark ages...not usually anyones favorite time of their life.

You will only have to go through it once.

Keep in mind that even though it seems like you have had a long life, that 13 years ago you were a newborn baby, thats not a long time

i agree, given the years i've been through, which may not be that many, i'd have to say the 13th year and the 17th year were the worst

our kids are totally in for it. between my ability to get laid well and frequently despite not being allowed to leave the house, and dave's partying, our collective period of drug usage...our girls are DOOMED.

 

it'll pass in no time! believe me, it seems like it was only a couple days ago when i was a freshman and now i'm a senior. time will definately go by faster than you think. pretty soon, you will want to be thirteen again. =]

 

yep... conversely, having clueless parents was empowering.

i did nothing but get around them. my two older brothers, as well as my stepsisters, were SUCH troublemakers...and yet i looked so sweet.

 

What is the concern with what you can't do?

There is a world without driving, drinking, and getting into clubs... in fact, many have spent their entire lives without any of the above and would have it no other way.

Ask why you want to do what you currently cannot... the answer may be simple as you cannot.

 

yeah, it hasn't happened to me either, but i've heard more than one person say "i wish i was younger" before. so, i put it to good use, you know?

 

Who wouldn't want to rewind their life and make the best decision possible... keep rewinding and trying new things until everything is perfect? Sounds great to me... of course thats not how it works... so we must use the mistakes of yesterday to guide the triumphs of tomorrow
