I got SHPONGLED

So 4/20 is my best friend's birthday and Shpongle happened to be coming to town ON 4/20! So even though it was a weekday and we had school we had to fucking celebrate big time because of all the amazing things happening at once. Out of the 12 of us that went to see shpongle, 9 of us were tripping. Between the 9 of us we put back 23 hits of acid.

Now this acid has got to be some of the cleanest, purest, most potent shit i've ever gotten. It's got the Hofmann 2010 print on the front, and Alex Grey's Ecstasy* on the back of it. Me and 2 of my buddies took 1 hit before we even left for the concert which was about 45 minutes away. We dosed, hackey sacked for a little bit and then left. On the drive there we had to stop in downtown KC to pick up some yak b/c for some reason that's what the two people who weren't doing acid wanted to do at the concert. By the time we got to dude's house I was starting to get a nice body high, and about 15 minutes later on the highway I started noticing the colors were more vibrant and everything was moving a little. The sky was really really beautiful and my friend has an amazing sound system in his car and we were playing some STS9. My appreciation for music grew QUICK. The music was making my body high sooooo intense and started to create closed eye visuals.

It was defintely the most Intense come up i've ever had from acid. The drive to the concert venue went by SUPER quick and when we got there I was REALLY tripping. I got out of the car and really had no idea what I was doing. I was just sort of taking shit out of my pockets and dropping it and not remembering why I was doing it. I decided to leave all my shit in my car because I figured if I took it inside I was probably going to lose it. So I just took my ticket, phone, acid, and a little cash for water.

We walk to the venue and right as we get to the place, they unlock the doors and we were the first ones there. A local DJ was already playing when we got inside and We went up to this very very small balcony where there's like 4 booths, like restuarant booths but without tables in the middle. Our group basically took up all of them so we kind of had the area to ourself. We all ate a little more acid. I brought 10 hits with me, and all of a sudden they were gone. I was tripping face so hard when I grabbed them out of my pocket and starting tearing the hits apart, I was just dropping them and shit not really knowing what the fuck I was doing at all. I told my buddies if they wanna find them on the ground they can have them, so I didn't get paid for prolly like 3 or 4 hits. Anyways, I ate another 1 and a half hofmann hits, and then a white on white hit, so 3.5 hits altogether. I was planning on taking 5 hits, but after that first hit of the hofmann I knew there was no way I was diving that deep.

Actually, I finally made an orbit a couple weeks ago and I was never able to really get good with it UNTIL last night at Shpongle. for some reason the acid made me a fucking pro with that thing. Once Shpongle came out I stayed up on the balcony for a little bit longer, then I went down to the bottom and me and my buddies smoked and danced and loved and shared peace with everyone that was there. Eventually I forced my way up to the very front and center RIGHT in front of Simon. He was really into it with the crowd, coming up to the front of the stage and dancing and shaking everyone's hand. He even complemented my mask

Oh and CHECK THIS OUT. My really good friend came up to the very front to dance with me and when the song Divine Moments of Truth came on (my absolute favorite song by Shpongle) she looks at me and says "Man I really wanna get up on stage and dance for him"
and I was like yeahhhh man that would be so badass. she says "What you think I won't do it?" and before I could say anything she jumps up on the stage and starts dancing. Now usually when this happens at any concert (someone getting on stage) the staff is quick to go throw them off, but they let her dance. It was fucking incredible and i'm so jealous.

After the show was over I waited a little bit and got to meet Simon and tell him how much I loved him and his music. It was absolutely blissful and made my body tingle down to the core. When we walked out of the venue, one of our "sober" drivers started throwing up everywhere because he had been blowing coke and OC all night. Thankfully I wasn't in his car. He said he was cool to drive, but about 15 minutes on the way back, my buddy who was tripping riding in the car of my buddy who was speedballin all night calls me and says we need to take the next exit because they were gonna have to switch drivers and someone tripping was going to have to drive because my buddy driving was STILL throwing up AS HE WAS DRIVING. Just right there in his lap.

As soon as he tells me that, we fucking PASS A COP. As my buddy is sitting there puking in his own lap while my other buddy on 3 hits of acid is holding the steering wheel, we pass a fucking cop. Scary, but no one got pulled over. So we finally make it back, and everyone goes home except 5 of us. We were all just tripping out way to hard to drive/go home. So we got some blankets from a friends house and we set off into the woods at 4 in the morning. We found this nice big concrete platform by a creek and laid down a blanket and sat and smoked bowls and recapped on the night for awhile.

I was the first one to leave, came home and took a xanax and was asleep by 5:30am. Skipped school and just been recovering all day. fuckin legs are sore from dancing HARD for 5 hours straight

 

haha that is awesome man. I just saw Shpongle on Friday and it was beautiful. Picked up some FIRE lucy at the show. Hopefully going to see Pretty Lights and Ana Sia next week

Yeah but not too much, I can't remember all the songs they played, but I know they played Shpongolese spoken here, that's the only one I remember from the new album cause it's my favorite song on ineffable mysteries.

When he started divine moments of truth I turned around and faced the crowd and yelled "where's the dmt?!?!?!"
And some old hippie lady came up to me and put this little bag of menthol on my mouth/nose and said "doesn't that feel great? And it's legal too."
And of course, the day after the concert, one of my old dealers calls me and said he had some deemsters for sale. Fuckin whaaack

 

menthol is awesome to inhale. when i was a child, i used to have sinus infections somewhat frequently, so i had a lot of Vics Inhalers around.



I quickly learned how fun it is to take a big hit from those. Ahhhhhh, FRESH!

thanks for reminding me, im gonna grab one and have it around when i trip hahaha. alternate weed tokes, menthol tokes. and sweet on the DMT, wish the fucker was easier to smoke but whatever. gotta try that while facing.
