both nice options. there's a guy i knew in high school who's living in napa valley and LOVING IT. i can't remember the name of the town, but it's similar to some austrian town...anyway, i looked it up and it's GORGEOUS.

OK I'm not entirely clear on it all. This was when she got out the taxi for her apartment?Maybe she didn't have her cashcard with her and was utterly embarrassed?Maybe she was testing u out to see how ""gentlemanly" u were in her eyes to introduce u to her other single friends?Maybe if her and her friend had bought alot of drinks she thought 20 usd re a whole night for a successful businessman wasn't an issue?

I notice the words vunerability and validation come up alot when u are discussing women.Thats cool and there's a lot of sense in it.But there are *other* issues too that might have bearing on a situatoion?:)
    -----------------------
OK well paid women drink-skanking is just unhealhthy ,wrong. But maybe if u don't offer, they won't take?Maybe things like the tossing 5 USD bills like a girl's a lapdancer gives them an impression?:D
I always think that if fun, a laugh and good conversation ain't what the girl wants, then I don't wanna be around her( unless she just wanna suck my cock:cool:)
Maybe it comes down to a "business plan for fun /life" again?

OK re this and the last post pts u made re NYC.
Well mega cities do have parts that are hard to negotiate.
BUT u can reinvent yourself everyday in them.Route out whatever city things take your fancy etc etc.Yeah u've experienced a big city's bad parts, but smaller towns have bad aspects too.

Do u think your problem has been the work focus?Rather than "life focus"?
I think these are common problems for people with their own business- partic at your stage. The plan suggests so.If so, perhaps the problem wasn't necessarily all New York's yes?

Looks like u've got a good plan. But what are the timescales? You're in your "prime years", so are u planning on a plan for while u are in NY too?

Strangely, I'm also having thoughts about where I wanna base for the coming years.Only a shortlist of 5 places...plus split base combinations..LOL

This is why I don't go out and generally don't even attempt to talk to anyone with a vagina.

No, I'm not saying all women are irrational cunts...just the majority of them.

No woman will ever love you. Not because theres something wrong with you. But desire for companionship revolts all women. Women are vampires who only want to suck more and more of your soul, and eunechs are the only happy men.

I'm not considering other cities on the basis of size. Things that are important to me are warm weather, an industrial (vs. services) economy, neighborhoods with long-standing dwellers and small businesses, and public space. Continental European socialism (before Maastrich Treaty) would probably suit me. I also much much prefer port cities. Rio fits the bill on all of the above, except for the fact it's a Third World economy.

So, what I do not know is if I will be able to find a niche in business there. I would not mind switching from all of this high-tech bullshit into steel eventually, in fact. As a kid, the industrial, northern section of Rio de Janeiro was littered with small to medium-sized sheet-metal factories (much like the Brooklyn waterfront used to be). It's always been a dream of mine.

New York also feels over-policed. Not just by the cops, but by the way public space is used by real estate moguls (the whole town is dominated by about five of them: Silverstein, Trump, and a couple Japanese guys actually).

What has been your criteria in your choice of places to live?

Hmm u know I’m still abit lost as to your resentment/ disappointment re the married woman.

Anyways, sounds like a big change you’re thinking of?
U don’t think it could be a case of “the grass is greener on the other side?”
Giving up the skills you’ve learned for sthg very different etc?

When I was v young my area was a formerly gigantic but dying steel area.It sounds a tough business these days… in the places that its even practical.(Which excludes much of Europe I think).

Don’t you think going from hi-tec/the future into something so old would be difficult in reality?

As for planning, we’re getting a lot of “identikit” towns too.Whereas the big city developments are lucrative enough to have some individuality, the smaller town developments can look horrifically generic.

    ----------------------------------------
My choices?Hmm a list of criteria sounds a bit “self indulgent” for me.It would be hard to make fixed plans at this stage.

But, I want somewhere that my business objectives are supported.Where people are down to earth and the place is really liveable with a “community spirit”./ good “vibe”Also where people have passions in what they do.Somewhere that’s always got things to explore, a centre for different things.
No place will have all my criteria. One tends to counteract the other attribute.

Then there’s the Britain or aboad issue.
I hate how idiots with rich parents get to the top, the so called “class structure” garbage.
But at the same time, I can’t really be bothered with foreign languages etc.

2 bases would be a possible.

Personally I don't want anything to do with these freeloading ladies. If I pay for a round and she doesn't get one when it's her turn she don't get another one from me again
Yeah, I see these types a lot too. Even if I had the money to spend on them I couldn't stand to invest (cause that's what it sounds to me) like this in a possible sweet night. I'm not interested in chicks who think that this is normal at all.

Haha, damn. Business plan for social life? If they're on your level depends on their carreer or genuine ambition? Champagne in the bling bar?
