I got a parking ticket!

I deserve it..


I was only in the place for 5 minutes and came back out and there it was. I broke the law and the law won.


I know I made a thread a few weeks ago about paying for parking, thinking I was slick. I suck

When is the last parking ticket you had?

It is cause most of my time is spent outside, not inside..more opportunities I guess

 

In Boston, they don't ticket for running red lights, just parking violations. They are ruthless. You can't get away with anything.

 

The only ticket I've ever gotten in my life was a parking ticket last year. I was pissed. Not about getting the ticket because my meter had ran out so I deserved it. I was pissed because the damn pizza place I went to lunch took 90 fuckin minutes to serve the pizza and the server took forever to give us or bill. Nobody has that kind of time on their lunch hour. I always put extra time on the meter and usually "pay it forward". This time I paid it forward to the great state of Iowa.

 

It's been 3 or 4 years I think. $15 dollar fine. I don't think I paid it though.

 

How did you get away with it? Here, if you don't pay your tickets, you can't renew your registration and if you have a lot of them, they put the Denver boot on your wheel so you can't drive.

 

fight it, if the officer doesn't show up, it's dismissed. don't give the man anymore money.....

luckily it was only $30..but I made a thread about it. Sorry to burden you with my problems. oh woe is me, i am so sad I got a ticket I think I am going to kill myself..woe is me, woe is me. anybody got a cheeseburger?

 

i disagree. or even if she does, doesn't mean she should pay the ticket. i wouldn't if i could get away with it. fuck giving the man money.

 

I disagree with your typical fight the man teenage hippy logic. But then again....I like my people responsible.

still not making sense. how is paying the man a good idea? how doesit benefit anyone? just more money to law enforcement, oh goodie. because we all know they need more of it.

 

I think you would be suprised what a city centre would look like if everybody would park their car everywhere for free

 

I don't think that parking tickets go to law enforcement. Here they go to the municipal government.
