I remember reading somewhere on the net that a ducks quack does not echo........ well the mythbusters were on discovery channel, and they did prove that a ducks quack does indeed echo. remember dont believe everything you read on the internet.

Yeah. We're both watching it right now, I guess, haha. I'm having white wine (muskanong from Duplin Winery in North Carolina)...

That chicken cannon is some crazy shit, by the way, I'm also having homemade chicken noodle with the wine.

I don't believe you. I don't believe that you even watch Mythbusters, because this is the internet, and your entire purpose is to deceive me! :D

I don't believe that you don't believe what you really believe, but you're willing to believe that someone else posesses the beliefs to pseudo-believe you.

....well thank you for filling my head with that thought provoking fact

who knows one of these days knowing if a ducks quack echos might help me determine if the the sound in the bushes is either a duck or a cougar, because i just cant hear the difference

What if it was both and you were drinking a little too much?

It probably wouldn't happen. The cougar would consume the waterfowl right quick and you'd be shit out of luck because all that would be left would be a cougar, man.

You're fucked, but I still love you anyway.

well, within the construct of the test, they DO show that the ability of the human ear to hear the echo, given the particular effect of their peculiar sound, is incredibly limited. so, basically, without high end electronic devices, you can't hear the echo, so, basically, the person who first posted it probably wasn't lying, he just wasn't superman. like a tree falling in the woods and no one is around to give a shit.

dude, i went coyote hunting, and they allow electronic calls, since the coyotes are so over populated. the electronic call, the "rabbit in distress" sounds like a screaming baby, NO SHIT. it was pretty disturbing to me, calling in a predator with that sound. especially after our stepson was the subject of much interest for a pack of coyotes when he was a teeny tiny 6 year old. had to run and find him, they were yelping excitedly and coming down the hill after him. i just about shit my pants.
