Im seeing a physical therapist for permanent stress fractures in my back. He said if the pain persists the next step is pain management. I looked up 'pain management specialist' online but didnt get much info. Is pain management more excercise or are they just going to give me a bunch of pills?

Medication, usually. Or a combination of meds & PT.

dude, as soon as you hear PAIN MANAGEMENT, you practically struck gold! Get some OCs, and if you dont want them for yourself, just sell them and you'll make a killing!

well im not there yet. still have a few weeks of physical therapy then i guess ill just have to insist that the pain lingers. I hope that since my therapist already mentioned pain management as the next step the hard part is over

Ya man go and make an appt. now..It can take up to a month to get an appt.I've been looking for one closer to my house and I can't get in any earlier than 6 weeks:eek:
But ya, when they mention Pain Management your on your way to long acting meds to control your pain. But your never going to get your pain all gone. It just makes it so you can deal with the pain better..
Especially Oxy's, it just masks it a little but your high and don't give a fuck..
    Unless its a bad day..Which I get about 7 to 10 days a month.
Thats also why I take a few less on good days so I have extra on the bad days..
    Good luck

My insurance dosen't require a refferel,If yours dosen't then YES I would make that appt. ASAP..
If you do, then you will have to wait till your Doc gives you one

for those of you in pain management, what are you in for? Im curious as to what kind of pain would require all that those oxys and percs. I just have bad back pain, if I had like 3 7.5 vicodins id be comfortable. At least until my tolerance goes up

LOL.. :pI can't stop laughing about the post that says 'Dude, you struck gold'.. lol...
The guy across the street makes money off of selling those 'tabs' to people and I think they can get as much as $5 a piece for them. Of course he 'needs'.. 200 a month to stop the pain
    :D
