but every time I wear my flaming lips tshirt, people make comments about it...... even my parents.... theyd say "what the hell is a flaming lip??" I dont know one person who saw my shirt and say, thats a good band........ wait, yes there was one, at the stellastar show I saw a couple months ago..... other than that, people think IM weird for wearing a shirt that says "the flaming lips" in big bold letters
im listenening to them right now...and i'd most likely say something about how good they are if you were wearing it around me. i never see anyone with flaming lip shirts around here...i love em alot
i know some, if not all, of the best bands out there are ones almost no one has ever heard of. i know some of mine are. ian boddy and robert rich, klaus shultze and tangarene dream are more my kind of music, but blue turtle seduction and cosmic wobble are ones i like too. sorry this is the first time i've ever heard of flaiming lipps as the name of a band though. when you said flaiming lips shirt i was thinking of that one for that other band, the mic jagger one with the lipps and toungue on it. are they mic jagger wanna bees i wonder? with their name possibly inspired by THAT shirt? i really didn't thing the work of jagger's main band, the stones was it, was all that great. jagger in other contexts though, particularly celtic, has indeed proved himself a real musician, but he's an old man who looked like he was an old man at death's door when he was 20. not that that's either here nor there. flaiming lipps you say. well if i ever get a chance i'll have to give them a listen. but like i say, this IS the first i've ever heard of them, though rastafia and flaiming spear are quite well known out here, as are cake and objects in the mirror, the former band left over salmon, and many others. =^^= .../\...

I like their early stuff ok, "Clouds Taste Metallic" "Hit to Death in the Future head" but i don't like anything they've done since really
