Thanks for posting this. Since COVID, the local pet store is the only store I have been barefooting in. Walmart, where I do all of my grocery and sundry shopping, still has a door monitor. I have been called out a few times in that particular store, but it was always at the self-checkout when I was done shopping anyway. So I'm a bit wary of being stopped at the entrance. A few times I have taken my sandals off after going in, but that's sort of cheating. Maybe I'll try Lowe's - they didn't have a door guard last time I was there. If not, then pet store. Not big on selfies but will try. Might be tough to get feet in pic and also see it's a store (solo).
Its really absurd that we should have to do this at all. Culture and tradition is the weirdest thing how difficult it is to go against it. Barefoot is legal we are not up against the government its just people and their ways but yet its not that easy at all. Lucky I live in a beach town in Florida but a mile inland going barefoot seems less acceptable. Spring break now and I have seen people barefooting down the main road that with the hotels that parallels the beach. Maybe the sport is catching on a little.
I had to stop at Lowe's today. Test run for next weekend I guess or I can just submit this pic. Floors were too clean, only light gray soles after 20 mins.
Actually I did it because i injured my left foot and it has been black and blue under the nail for months. So decided to use polish to hide the injury. But I think ill keep doing it. I like it and its easier than doing all ten
BTW, the pretty gal with the cute feet in the BarefootIsLegal flyer likely never has any problems in stores. For whatever reason, it's more socially acceptable for attractive women to go barefoot in public. At least that's my impression.
I was trying to find paint to cover where nail separated from the bed and yellow, put a tiny bit of bandaid to cover old dude yellow nail and wtf I am not old I dont know how to fix it except got to gain 10lbs toe get fatter nail attach to bed again
pretty girls get away with anything but its still an absurdity I can put my face rubbing germ ridden bare hands all over the store but if my bare feet touch the floor its a tragedy. Society and its norms are a powerful force with no basis in logic its weird as hell its just like who the heck cares the next person wears shoes or or goes bare foot but they do. I dont get it it baffles me .
The few times I've been hassled by store employees, they have been female. Go figure. Too many people seem incapable of logic or common sense. Shoes get dirty, bare feet get dirty. Who cares? Are you licking the floor while you shop? Plus I shower daily. How often do people wash their shoes? The "safety" angle is bunk, too. Flip flops are trip hazards and provide little protection but no one bats an eye at those stupid things.
If we want to mainstream barefooting maybe help popularize these shower floor foot brushes. Get rid of that most common excuse my feet will get dirty. These things work really well or at least the one I made from dollar store brushes. Even the black from new asphalt comes right off, no hunching over with washcloth or brush.
To far away but I would have likee to go to the "won't wear a mask" supermarket in Florida and record-YouTube the reaction if any. Florida grocery store bucks mask mandate; owner says COVID-19 death toll is ‘hogwash’ Florida grocery store bucks mask mandate; owner says COVID-19 death toll is ‘hogwash’ | WFLA How about Florida barefooter says shoes are hogwash ?? In supermarket that says masks are? Historically conservatives were anti bare feet but these days got a problem with the masks. Anyone live near Oakes Farms Seed to Table Market in Naples ? Get a funny video being thrown out for no shoes might make the news.
