I'm writing a very boring 5000 word essay which is due on Friday. I just hit a wall and dunno what to write anymore.

Maybe you need to go to a concentration camp..

  5. Put it away and then look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow. Also when you do that, re-read what you've written and see if it is possible to say the same thing but with more words:D It works if you don't go overboard. Good luck!

    Hello,

that's what I just wanted to suggest. Do it like I had done several times ;): go for a walk, open a bottle of Cremant or red wine and start over again.

    Regards
    Gyro

PS: Some warning might be appropriate: this approach usually doesn't work very well for hard technical papers. But that's how I survived psychology and economy classes ;).

run round the block twice. a sudden burst of exercise can make you feel rejuvenated, all those chemicals sloshing about your brain-bucket. works for me, and i speak as someone who hates exercise in all its forms.
