I believe I have a crush.

Okay, there is this girl who goes to my school and she's great. I've only recently realized how much we have in common and whenever I'm with her I just have the best time. She definitely comes off as being gay but I'm not sure. I've never been interested in a girl before but I'm quite attracted to her, more emotionally than physically.
She's coming with me to get my dreads done in a couple weeks and I sort of want to ask her out without asking her out, ya know? Like, just to get to know her better but I'm so shy! And another thing is she'll be moving away in the fall anyway so is it even worth it? Please, any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks

 

There's nothing wrong with having a summertime romance. I've had my share of them over my lifetime. You have to be aware that since your friend is moving away in the fall, that any relationsnhip that develops between you two is temporary. If it develops, enjoy it while it lasts. You're only 16. There will be other people entering your life in the future whom you might have a strong attraction to -- or may have a strong attraction to you.

maybe say something like i think i like you more then just friends , or hey i herd _____ likes you, fill in the blank with some gurl you know cuz she'll ether say nasty or start talking real slow and come out. the best way to do it is just kiss her

 

Marie, yeah, I don't know if I do. I definitely enjoy being around her, she's fun and maybe I just like her because she's gay (or I think she is) and sort of has the same philosophy about things as I do but please don't tell! I'm not even sure if I even want to get involved with anybody right now. Single is simple.

 

If it feels good, do it.
