I have been reborn. When I first came to the forum about 2 and a half years ago, I did not know the first thing about hippiedom. I have become a new person over the last periods of time. I rediscovered the simple things in life, I appreciate the natural things around me, life, nature, wildlife. Everything.

I am a hippie. Finally, I have found myself.

i think it's more about the "finding yourself" part than the "i am a hippie" part

Yeah, finding yourself is much different from finding a category.

See that's just it though. Being a hippie can mean many things. The word hippie can be used to describe many types of people, and no two are exactly alike. I am in touch with who I truly am, for once in my life. And I am in pursuit of peace, love and light, for myself and all those around me.

I am my own human. I am of the land. :)

I know how that goes. I always end up finding something I was looking for a month ago.. or something that I didn't know existed anymore, when I lose my car keys.

I lose my car keys and shoes alot. Not so much shoes anymore, now that I have two pairs of the same... one I use for working/vocational school, the other for regular school.

    i agree with u much...life ...and the many lives u've had...(reacarnation)
is i think about finding truth, enlighenment, your self and were u stand in this world...
not about hippie's belive this way and act this way...
poeple arent lables...lables put poeple into a box...more or less in to a mold....
lables control what u could be.....
but it's good ur takeing little steps into what lies ahead...
    plur
    and good luck..:)

Life has taken me to diffrent places and I have met diffrent people. Its more then finding yourself but finding the world. I might not know what I was exactly put on this earth to do yet but I know it has to do with people and music. I am a hippie and that was never more instaled in me when I went to the oregon country fair. I love my fair family. We work and its some of the best times of my life. The fair rivied me form the harsh world we live in. It showed me that there are good people and things in this life. That peace can be achived if we just tryed and loved one another. I just love life now and Im happy that hippism is apart of my life.

i kind of don't like how when you use a label, people inevitably scream "LABELS SUCK! LABELS ARE FOR SOUP, NOT PEOPLE!" and such... because i think a lot of them are used more to represent a scene, a really big family of people who have the same *general* outlook and perspective, who you fit naturally with. i know there isn't a person on this planet that every other person cannot connect with in some way, but a label can be like a built-in family and home. that's how i feel about "hippies" at festivals, and "ravers" at raves... the "freaks" wherever i find them. there are lots of people that you have to walk on eggshells around, that you have to try not to offend just to keep the peace when disrupting it can't lead to anything but trouble... but if you find your group, your label, and your lifestyle, it feels so freeing. it's like the jesusbiblicalwhathaveyouthing, "wherever two or more are gathered in my name"... when you belong to something that accepts what you believe inside you, the fact that others feel the same can validate it...
