I’m an anarcho-syndicalist through and through, and I’m unapologetic about it. I reject all forms of authoritarianism, including Marxism-Leninism with its centralized, hierarchical party structure. Anarcho-syndicalism demands direct, horizontal worker control through federated assemblies with binding, recallable mandates as the only true path to emancipation.

If you intend to dispute this, I suggest thoroughly engaging with the relevant political theory first, because Marxism-Leninism, with its vanguardist and centralized party structure, is fundamentally incompatible with anarcho-syndicalist principles grounded in individual liberty, collective autonomy, and anti-authoritarianism. Sorry, not sorry.

I uphold the fundamental principles of anarcho-syndicalism: the indispensability of horizontalism, workers’ direct self-management, and federated assemblies exercising delegated authority through binding and recallable mandates. Delegates possess no autonomous decision-making power, a necessary mechanism to prevent the concentration of power and ensure accountability from the base workplace level to higher coordination structures.

This is not a mere personal preference or special interest, but the fundamental essence of anarcho-syndicalism. Class power must remain with the working class collectively, and any deviation toward centralized or bureaucratic control replicates the coercive authority we seek to abolish. This is my political framework and the basis of my commitment.

Sorry, not sorry, to my family, I will not abandon my beliefs, and I’m here to stay. I will continue discussing anarcho-syndicalism openly, regardless of the political climate. Even if a majority in Norway supports democratic socialism, I won’t be silenced or pressured to compromise my commitment to anti-authoritarian, worker self-management principles.

Any organization that calls itself anarcho-syndicalist but shifts away from horizontalism and direct worker control to a centralized, hierarchical structure is betraying the core of anarcho-syndicalism. True anarcho-syndicalism demands that power resides with the workers themselves.

Authentic practice requires that federated assemblies delegate authority through binding mandates to recallable delegates who have no autonomous decision-making power. This structure prevents the emergence of coercive leadership and ensures accountability at all levels.

If an organization abandons decentralized coordination and collective self-emancipation for top-down control, it is no longer anarcho-syndicalist but a bureaucratic or reformist syndicalism in disguise. Such a group lacks ideological legitimacy and does not deserve support or platform in my community.

As a hippie, I became deeply engaged with anarcho-syndicalist philosophy, especially the ideas popularized by Rudolf Rocker. His emphasis on direct worker self-management, horizontal organization, and federated, recallable mandates reshaped how I understand collective freedom and anti-authoritarianism.

While I don’t live it, his vision remains a powerful critique of centralized power and a guide toward true worker emancipation.

In other words, you're into co-ops. I've worked in several. The most important part was that everyone was paid the same, regardless of job title and responsibilities. Everyone also had the same voice in meetings. There was no leader.

This works if you all share the same vision. On a scale larger than one company, esp. on the level of society it doesn't work because everyone doesn't share the same vision.
