Hydroponic Weed - The Health Issues

Does anyone have any informed answers about the alleged side affects of smoking hyrdroponically or chemically grown buds? I honestly know nothing about the subject. How real are the dangers?

 

there shouldn't be anything inherently wrong with hydroponically grown cannabis, just grown in a water solution instead of soil. chemical fertilizers would only be bad for you if they were used within a few weeks of harvesting, which most growers know they shouldn't do.

 

all fertilizers hide themselves in the plants cells. you can opt for "organic" if you don't want to smoke extra chemicals. i've had the dankest organic outdoor... mmm..

 

I am assuming that smoking weed grown with chemicals would be no different to consuming half the fruit and vegetables grown and sold at the supermarket. Is the whole thing overblown?

i'd worry about the food you're eating way before the bud you're smoking.

 

ive heard that hydroponic systems premote growth of plants but slightly hinder plant flushing systems, meaning that certain toxins from fertilisers and the like are in higher levels with hydroponics. however i think this also depends onthe fertilsers used. but remember, most growers care more for profit than customer long term health. if the unhealthy fertilisers are cheaper than more organic types, and premote plant growth, then most hydro growers would probably get it

 

I would honeslty worry more about the meat and vegtables you are purchasing at the grocery store...those are loaded with hormones and vegtables are sprayed over before they are shipped to keep them over...thats why apples have that shiny color its just an added on seal to keep them more fresh...but yea oranic things are great....but if thats all you have...if you are worried about hyroponic plants...then you should start bying all organic fruit vegtables and meat....bt beside that i would buy the buds if it looked like healthy buds...

Yeah, i try to do that if its convenient or I have enough money, same with meat too. But as far as convenience goes, hydro-weed is the option atm.

I remember in high school I bought weed laced with speed, that fucked me up bad.

 

lol what did you think it was some super crystal weed or what...or did you mean to...i belive thats called a killer joint when its mised with crank....but yea i would buy hydo stuff i mean if you ever buy things grown outdoors you know it has some stuff sparyed on it...just ask the grower what kinda chemicals used but it generally most people dont add unsafe chemicals...they dont want to risk screwing up the plants...

 

I didn't mean to. I was 14 or 15 and just thought it was normal weed. It made me really hyper and I couldn't think straight for a week. The the dude told me it was laced and obviously I said "WHAT THE FUCK?"

 

yea laced shit goes around once in a while...just gotta keep an eye out...thats why it pays to kno your drugs...

 

Or...find really good, trustworthy druggie friends who genuinely care about others.
