seriously, humans cannot be cops. people can't help but to abuse their power when they feel like they are above everyone because of a badge. authoirty is too much for almost all people to handle

I was once sitting in my car listening to music IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY and a cop felt the need to stop, make me get out of my car, run my license plate and my driver's license, then search me and my car. JUST because I was sitting in my own driveway listening to music.

I agree. I think the police should be strictly like paramedics and firefighters, where they work solely on an on-call basis, rather then patrolling the streets and handing out tickets for menial things.

Most cops are alright, some are dicks though.It doesnt matter what you do for a living, if your a dick your a dick.

 

Cops in Canada must be a lot different that cops in the states. Down here in Georgia, they'll find any reason in the world to fuck with you.

I decided if I'm forty and lonely with no friends or wife I'll move to Vegas or something and become a cop.

 

If I was a cop, I'd find potheads and get them to smoke with me, and share thier drugs, in general, then thank them and let them go about their business. haha I'd be one of the good cops. I wouldn't lower myself to becoming a cop though. lol

It doesn't sound that bad of a job to me. You get paid to drive around for the most part. Yeah, it's a jerk thing to do and especially if you're a stoner being a hypocrite, but if you're nice like you said it can work out well.

There's a cop who sits outside of our church every sunday for probably 4 hours a day.

 

Police are more necessary than not. It's not their fault shit is illegal, they only enforce the laws. I'm guessing the menial shit they do sometimes has to do with quota.

 

But the thing is, I'm sure there are some laws that they don't agree with, but they stll arrest people for breaking those laws. For example, a cop may not see any problem with marijuana, but he will still arrest a person for possessing it. THAT is the problem I have with most cops. They're too "by the book" and follow rules that they may not necessarily agree with. Most of them are lemmings, basically, and they allow the government to tell them what is right and wrong, as opposed to making their own decisions.

 

It's their job to listen to the government. If they did things they way THEY wanted they wouldn't be cops.

 

That's true, but according to the government, it's EVERYONE'S job to listen to the government. lol I'll be damned if I'm gonna blindly follow ANYONE, especially someone who has no clue who I am. The government doesn't know what's best for me, you, or anyone else, and neither do cops.

 

The only person who knows what's best for themselves is....themselves, imo. The cops chose to work for the government though. They chose to listen. Ehh.

 

Thefact that they CHOSE to listen to the government is what I don't like about them. That's my whole point. lol Fuckin lemmings.
