And for a moment i held the doom of a world in my hand
why didnt i kill it, some may wonder
and some may profess to know
that i did not destroy it because
I wanted a hostage
or because of the irony of destroying such a thing

but these are not the reasons
it is the futility
it is one of many of its kind
to destroy it
would not even pinch at their numbers
and besideds
among them, these infectious things
one is a cure
