Howdy back at 'ya. Last time I was in Vancouver was 1970. July,I think. The Viet Nam war was raging and when I and my fellow hippies crossed the border and started walking around down town--people were walking around drinking beer --music was playing and the atmosphere was SO-SO differant from the US at that time. We thought " wow--what kind of a country is this" Everyone seems so happy and carefree". Later I think we found out it was some Canadian holiday or some such. I'll never forget that trip.
