How Would You Improve Society?

If you could improve society, how would you? Would you change something, get rid of something, or create something?

 

Assuming god-like powers:
I'd change whatever it is in people that rules their behaviour to make them, how to say, social creatures. What I mean is that as it is now, despite the fact that humans are supposed to be a social race we still prioritize or own personal desires. What I would change is that individuals act in the interest of the human race, not the "I".

I agree, that it would be an improvement if all people acted more in the interest of the human race, and even better if they had a personal desire to do so

in the US I would want to eliminate the government's subsidisation of corn and soy...but SOY would be my first goal. In conjunction with this, I'd like to make food, in general, healthier. I know many people don't support more restrictions or regulations, but when it comes to food I think we need way more guidelines in regards to what is allowed to be put in foods, especially processed and packaged foods.

STUDY and restrict the use of very dangerous pesticides, fungiscides, dyes, etc....

I also think getting society off this technology kick would be a wise move, while encouraging people to focus more on how fast we are draining the world of resources. SOCIETY NEEDES TO GIVE BACK TO GAIA.

a) I would end love in the upper ranks of society and make marriage strictly a breeding and discipline business arranged by grandparents and great-grandparents (parents are scum) by law and decree;

b) Cheap, lawful, publicly sanitized whorehouses as an incentive against unclean "love-sentimental" contact between the sexes;

c) Lesser sentences for criminal acts within the ranks of the international landed militia. Identify landed classes by attaching property name to the documented last name (possibly, hyphenated);

d) Taxes derived from businesses primarily allotted to the international landed military officer corps and industrial-infrastructure projects;

e) Tax breaks for legal euthanasia clinics;

f) Compulsory, international military service for all offspring from arranged marriages and landed property; beer, salaried "work", rented apartments, superstitious "education", and "love" for the remainder of society.

Weed of course would be not only legal but grown in our own homes. If we want high electricity bills, so be it, it's our money.

People are now being caught for growing cannabis because police are (in some places illegally) tracking a household's energy outputs. If it is deemed (by the police) as too high they then go and raid that house. If the people are caught growing cannabis they're thrown in jail.
