How would you end the war in Iraq if you were in charge? How do you see the Iraqi’s future under your plan? Would you offer an iron fist, or roses? Changeyourlatitude
Pray! And try and get everyone else to pray as well. Beyond that I would have to gather together a group of the most intelligent minds on the planet to try to come to a solution. Could try music or sport? I would think you would keep coming back to prayer though...
hand the damn thing over to the UN, give them complete control. The us already won its war. Risking democracy in iraq isnt worth bush's pride.
How would you feel if when congress gave the vote of confidence to go to war they also agreed to draft you if necessary to win the war? Changeyourlatitude
Regarding the draft, both democratic and republican parties are drafting up some draft legislation (no pun intended) =) Of course we wont see it happen until after the election, but both parties will be ready to draft if needed. Keep in mind that Kerry wants more troops to iraq, and Bush started this whole thing. Seems like a draft may be likely! =( Daniel Sheehan, investigative lawyer and historian, was asked to be in charge of this exact type of gathering. Over a period of 5 or so years they gathered together Ex Presidents, Rulers, Ex Military Generals, and other people involved in law and the law making processes from countries all around the world. Thus the New Paradigm Institute was manifested. They gathered to come together to talk about peace and actual ways to manifest it, worldwide. What they came up with is pretty awsome. Too detailed and bad ass for me to want to paraphrase. Very in depth. See, heres the deal, the cold war is over. As soon as this happened, we won. We didn't have anyone to fight. So now theres a choice that needs to be made. We(America) can move towards peace as a nation and be the guiding light for peace worldwide. OR We can go back to the old system and way of doing things, and be the guiding light towards chaos and war via military force, world wide. Another thing to note, Daniel Sheehan is a harvard graduate and also is involved in the harvard school of divinity. He will also be the policy maker for the U.S. if we all get off our ass and vote Kucinich for pres in November.
I always thought he was a leader the nation could rally behind. I wish he had got more traction! Wise people chose to work the cause, like his Department of Peace, and politicians chose to battle the effect. Changeyourlatitude
the problem with that idea( though sound and reeking far too much of common sense) is that the UN probably wouldnt touch it, they ahvent exactly broken their necks trying to prevent the war, and look at everything else, palestinians being butchered daily , civil wars raging in africa , and yet where is the UN??? stil policing yugoslavia, but otherwise sitting on their hands waiting for other nations to do something ..either to shoulder the burden or to put them down for their actions..my persoanl opinion is that the UN, who is part of the embargos against Iraq, should have used the muscle they were SUPPOSED to be displaying toward Hussein as a deterent to Bush, simply to say BACK OFF..but yet you saw no action on their part other than to "wait" for the inspectors report on WMD or "discuss the matter furthur" Hunter S Thompson is constantly using the quote( Jeferson i think) that "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"..well there is a whole lotta nothing going on in the world....
Public executions, crucifixion would work best. Just grab 100 or so people and kill 'em on television. Then when the media tears it open, take the reporters and kill them and broadcast it on their own networks. Of course that would only make the situation worse, but it would be hella-fun while it happened right?
