how to tell

im pickin up an 1/8th for my friend and i dont wanna rip him off i was wondering how i could tell if its 1/8th or not cant tell anymore since i gave my scale away for weed haha and i usually only buy quarters but ya can some post pic of an 1/8th or sometin idk

 

I would get a scale if you want to be sure.

 

Or ask the dude you're getting it from if he can weigh it out for you.

 

Just be honest with your friend. "I wish I could weigh it for ya but I lost my scale."
If it isn't a full 8th, it's not your fault, and your friend should not be upset.

 

I would hold it up to the sky and ask God for a sign..

 

An eighth looks like half as much as a quarter. This isn't rocket science man.

 

ok..lets do this scientifically..I am really stoned, so lets see what we can do..I heard that a nickel weighs 5 grams, now an eighth is 3.5 grams..this aint gonna work..just give it to him and say "here man, enjoy"

 

or a quarter of a half.. or well an eighth of an ounce.. seriously..

 

simply answer here is: you can't tell. the buds can be really dense, and it'll look like a lot less, or they can be really... uh... not dense and you'll be like woah he over shot it.

i suggest asking him to weigh it, or finding a non-shady dealer

to be absolutely sure, you need to weigh it. buds can be dense or fluffy. but an eighth should at least be 1 (maybe 2) finger's worth (as thick as your finger) across the bottom of a normal sandwich bag.
