What's a good way to start a small compost pile? All I have is a tomato plant, a pepper plant and some raddishes in one big pot, and a pea plant in a smaller plant. I don't want a huge pile, and my momma isn't too hot about keeping rotting things around. But I really want an organic garden. Any tips from some wise gardeners? Thanks :)

Hi. Well for something that size I would look into getting a med. size plasic tote that comes with a lid. You could even go something a little smaller if you don't have the room. Poke about ten holes near the top, just not on the lid. And there you go.
