how to make a knockoff General Hydroponics waterfarm

Ok so if someone wanted to build a hydroponics system very similar to the General Hydroponics Water farm 8-pack ( http://www.generalhydroponics.com/genhydro_US/waterfarm.html )

I see how you could make one very similar without the controller reservoir, but if it didn't have the controller then the reservoir would have sit below the buckets. How would one go about recreating a system like this where the resevoir can sit level to the buckets?

 

I say dwc flow buckets. U can have your resavoir sit at the same level of your buckets. Probably be cheaper and easier to find and bigger than that setup
