Around 1991 I wondered about the little old bird woman in "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins. I don't believe in saints or apostles anymore. But would they care if even one person was kind to the little old bird woman? When we first saw Mary Poppins in the early 70s my mother took a different view. She said the Mr. Bank's children should invest their Tuppence. My father told her she was overreacting. But I think we both were right.
invest in what makes you smile. nothing that doesn't is worth it, no matter how many try to tell you it is. (unless its 'paying forward' a future smile) creating and exploring, the means and methods of doing so, and of course generosity is saintly, which has nothing to do with belief. brand name flavors of belief, have indeed created a great deal of confusion that is otherwise completely unnecessary. tyranny would not be possible if no one ever trusted anything that wished to be feared. and the dominance of aggressiveness is never civilization, however mighty its works. not saying spend you last penny for candy, but maybe your first, if you can be reasonably certain of many more to follow. get real expenses out of the way furst, always, but there isn't really anything else that need to be, and don't forget to share smiles where you can, don't purchase then with someone else's tears. too many don't look beyond their own face and don't realize by failing to, everything wrong with this or any world is created. (it isn't what the world thinks of us, its what kind of world we create)
