How To Download A Song From Youtube

So, what is the easiest/best way to get a rare youtube song as an mp3 on your hard drive? Maybe this is really easy and I am just missing something but telling me how to do this would be greatly appreciated!

one of the downloaders has mp3,mp4,flv .. also quality size. some videos are blocked like those of Vevo or other buyers, but you can usually find another video somewhere else.

 

You mean it converts a youtube movie to an mp3 without an external program? That sounds awesome and definitely like the easiest way Although i would have to switch browsers.

I have to be able to add it to my (ideally winamp) playlist. I prefer not to start up a movie player just to listen one song. I noticed there are several sites/programs for downloading youtube videos, but yeah, if one happens to have good experience with one I'll go with that. It has to make it a song file though (mp3 preferably).

Sounds like what I need I'll check it out! Actually I check porkstocks recommendation out as well. The only reason i'll skip Firefox at this point is because I don't like to get into another kind of browser. But keep the good recommendations coming if you guys think of any!

 

Just want to add... As with anything you download and install from the net, make sure it's not wanting to add toolbars and change your search engine. etc. Not saying Freemake does this, frankly I don't remember, but it's just a general caution people don't follow

 

Dude, I can't believe some friends of mine: they let their whole computer get slowed down by not watching out for that shit. Always good to point out indeed.

 

Mozilla-Firefox extension is the only one I know of for Windows Users that isn't swimming with malware/adware. I highly recommend it.
